Male singer, slow grunge-y emo type balland, yearning vocals, slow build, melodic, quite up and down in the tones. Similar to Radiohead's Talk Show Host but less rock-y.
"I want to be ... la la la la la la" or similar vocals in the hook.
It may have been used in a recent TV programme or trailer, it's kind of spooky. Please can you help?!

That's actually a great idea. If you put on all the most similar songs into a Playlist Spotify might suggest the actual one as an option

If you go on the playlist, click on the three dots on the top right and then click share, you can copy a link.

This is just marvellous, most random thing ever and I love it, frustrating as it is. The silver lining is I've discovered so many great tracks and artists thanks to you.
How can I find the playlist please?
The humming in my head still eludes me, used to be I slipped into Talk Show Host (Radiohead) and now when I try to focus it eather goes into that melody bit in Turn by Travis that goes

or
that bit in The Voice Within with Christina Aguilera that goes:
