I've just dropped dd2 off to go on a trip with her Brownie unit. She won't be back until tea time so I'm going to carry on decorating my bedroom, do some cleaning, and a few bits for my Rainbows and Guides.

Dd1 is off for a sleepover at Nanna's later so it'll be a chilled evening with dd2, who will hopefully have an early night.

We'll have southern fried chicken for tea, and probably ice cream for pudding.

What about you lot?

Have a nice relaxing weekend!! From what you've said hopefully it'll pan that way!

I'm still in bed at the moment, think I want toast and tea. So may get up, mini fidget is on a moving mission.

I've got 2 loads of washing to do and general housework. Oh wants to look at tiles to redecorate the kitchen.

The pup is booked in for a groom at 1.30, so will probably combine a visit to the PiLs.

Biggest plan though is that I'm going to try and build my buggy again. I started last night and got very hot, very sweaty and very angry. My oh keeps telling me we have 10 weeks left so ages... But I want to make sure it works, I can't get the car seat or the travel cot/bed? To clip in securely 🙄

So much fun being had here 😂

Natsku · 11/05/2019 09:57

Not much at all. DD is away all day on a Scout thing, OH is in the basement playing guitar and will probably be doing that most of the day. The baby (I should start calling him the toddler now that he's walking) will hopefully have an easier day today (teething and tantrums lately), he's taking a monster nap right now so that's a good sign.

Tonight I shall have a few beers as I get a lie in tomorrow (Mother's Day where I am)

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 11/05/2019 10:03

I really need to get up and go for a run. I’ve recently re started couch to 5k as I fell off the wagon. Hopefully this post will give me the kick out of bed I need.

Then I’ll come home and motivate teen DSs for a nice national trust walk.

Then DP and I will will lie on the sofa all night. Ahhhhhhhhhh weekends.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 11/05/2019 10:07

The fun things:
I'll be baking celebratory brownies for DD, who just managed to raise her biology grades from sufficient to better than expected with some very hard work Grin; plant some ginko seeds and start knitting a sweater for me while watching AntsCanada. A cactus I raised from seed is flowering after 12 years and I'll stare at it for a bit.
The not so fun things:
Archive work - handwritten stuff this time.
Some cleaning and the cat still tries to get at the marten, so is clawing the walls near the ceilings. The marten is incredibly loud.

ItWentInMyEye · 11/05/2019 10:20

Washing uniforms, putting at least 3 loads in and drying it, ironing, keeping 3 kids fed and alive Grin Maybe some of my birthday gin this evening. I also need to look through the cupboards/freezer to do next weeks meal plan.

gotmychocolateimgood · 11/05/2019 10:23

Currently eating blueberry pancakes. Quiet morning then will take kids to toy shop to spend their pocket money from Granny. Will do some washing at some point. Kids want to do some cooking later.

AdoraBell · 11/05/2019 10:27

MNing while DH watches plumber fitting the bathroom bits, loo and taps. This will be followed by DH prattling on about the process.

Then I’m going into town just to get out. Cannot stand being at home all day. I should do some admin but it can wait.

I’m thinking the laundry can wait too. Seriously lacking motivation today 🤦‍♀️

Well done to your DD Prokup

MrsPear · 11/05/2019 10:27

Boys are at football. Due to busy week I need to do bedrooms today.
Uniforms can wait until tomorrow. That’s it nothing planned just quiet at home. Probably go for walk somewhere tomorrow.

princessspotify · 11/05/2019 10:29

Not a lot today. It doesn't look very nice out but I do need to go to the shops for essentials. I've just put beef casserole in slow cooker and will hop in the shower. such a busy life I lead

gotmychocolateimgood · 11/05/2019 10:36

Ooh yes, we're having beef casserole later too. Kids are going to help me make a pudding.

ClandestineAdulation · 11/05/2019 10:37

Hairdresser now, trip into town to try to find something to wear then a night out with the girls later!

DramaAlpaca · 11/05/2019 10:40

I'm just getting up Grin I had a lovely lie-in & I'm going to jump in the shower now & spend the day pottering around the house, which is in need of a major tidy.

BiBiBirdie · 11/05/2019 10:41

Gardening. We bought a paddling pool at the end of the summer, was £60 originally but got it for £10. Only issue is, the way our garden currently stands, it's too wide Blush
So, we are removing a big silly patch of soil that has been here since we moved in,it's not bedded in, it's just piled up under the window with two old barrels with herbs in on top, we are going to Freecycle the soil and move the barrels to outside the shed, level it off and we should have room for the paddling pool.
No doubt after all this though, both DC will never use the said pool and will sit in all summer on poxy Minecraft/YouTube.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 11/05/2019 10:44

Hmmm... Was thinking of fried chicken for dinner, what recipe are you using?

I'm procrastinating about running to the gym. Then back to sort washing and pick up dd from her class at 1. She and I are then going bike shopping for the two of us. Been a hectic three weeks so aiming for a quiet ish afternoon.

Princess , meet you back here in 90mins to report on exercise Grin

ASauvignonADay · 11/05/2019 10:49

Lazy tv and breakfast in bed
Some house jobs
I'm off to the shops

sparkli · 11/05/2019 10:52

Currently eating toast and drinking coffee. Washing machine just finished so I will hang that load out and put another on.

Teen DC are all either working or meeting friends so DH and I are off for a walk in the bluebell wood nearby. Tonight's tea is fish and chips, and maybe a bottle of wine.

Tomorrow DD15 is playing football. DS12 has a free weekend, thankfully. No trying to be in 2 places at once! Then dinner at my folks. I love weekends!

Furble · 11/05/2019 10:53

Try and induce labour whilst minding my 2.5yo DS!
So far we have done dishwasher and washing clothes together (slow going with him “helping”) and then advanced jigsaws and Postman Pat watching!
DH back from work around 2 so then can head out for a walk/park/shops.

Misty9 · 11/05/2019 10:55

I'm lying in bed on mn and feeling I ought to be making more of my day! The dc are with their dad and it's only been 4 weeks since we separated so I'm still getting used to the new normal. I should get up then I've got a housewarming with all my lovely friends this evening. I keep sort of not bothering to eat... Blush so I need to get some lunch.

Reading all your posts has reassured me that I'm not unusual in not having grand plans at least!

Stormwhale · 11/05/2019 11:07

Getting through the day in any way I can. I'm 36 weeks pregnant, having a horrible time of it with spd and other problems. Dh has just come down with a sick bug, dd has some sort of viral thing so is miserable too. I have done the house work and can now barely move due to the pain. Trying to look after both of them in this state is nearly impossible. Trying to keep everything super clean to stop the spread of the bugs, but my body is screaming no.

bellyislikejelly · 11/05/2019 11:29

I had a major lie in till 10.00 which is unheard of for me.

I have since been on the sofa in my dressing gown drinking coffee.

DH has been for a run & i can hear the lawn mower so assume he is now gardening

DD15 is still in bed - doubt i'll see her before 1pm if at all

I plan on remaining on the sofa until approx 5pm where i have to get ready for a 60th party tonight which i really cant be arsed with

happypotamus · 11/05/2019 11:37

Somehow make a start of getting the tip of a house ready for a family party next weekend. No idea how I am going to achieve this. The whole thing is massively overwhelming. Also have to help DD1 tidy her room, as my mum told her she will put everything in a bin bag and throw it away otherwise!
Currently DH has taken DD1 to a swimming lesson and DD2 is watching paw patrol. DH is randomly going to a taster session of sailing later while I get on with stuff. Dinner will be early, then I am taking DDs to church this evening. I am working tomorrow and Monday (out of the house from 6.30am until about 9.30pm both days) and still have to work out how to get to work tomorrow as many roads, possibly including the bus route, are closed in our city for an event.

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 11/05/2019 11:39

I succeeded MotherForkin Grin well earned coffee now

LBOCS2 · 11/05/2019 11:40

Just got back from swimming lessons. DC are watching Octonauts and I'm waiting for the first load of laundry to finish so I can load up no.2 of about 6...

DH will be back from playing football soon, and I'm going to suggest that we go out - DD1 desperately needs some new trainers; I was hoping to eke them out until September but I realised I could see her socks through them earlier! And we need to choose a new kitchen.

I think we're having something quasi-Indian for dinner, I have a coriander and lemon rub for chicken and I'm going to make a dhal with it, as I'm obsessed. OTOH I could just get DH to cook, in which case it will be a lovely surprise that I won't have had to cook 😁

PrincessMaryaBolkonskaya · 11/05/2019 11:42

And FlowersWineCakefor you Misty I’ve been in a similar place. I don’t know the background to yours obv but you’ve got this

Theoldwoman · 11/05/2019 11:46

Had a nice day, weather was 26 deg, not bad for almost Winter.

Went to DFO shopping this morning, only DD found a bargain. home and went for a long walk with my neighbour. Then DH, DD and I drove an hour to the lake. Was beautiful.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day.

Footy game at 9am for DD. No plans after, but no doubt lunch somewhere,
