Can someone help me with a roblox/laptop problem?

Have a gaming laptop and for some reason today dc can’t play roblox on it. It says to update, which I’ve tried to numerous times and it won’t allow me to do it. It just says it can’t update at the moment try again later. It works on a different laptop so it is that laptops problem. It’s a window one of that makes a difference? Iv tried re starting it etc but can’t work out what’s wrong?

We have one of those extra storage thingys that you plug into The laptop that we literally just bought so can’t be storage? Can’t seem to uninstall roblox to then re install? The other laptop is fine and that isn’t a gaming one and has hardly any storage?

Save everything you want to keep on the external drive.

Use a program such as malwarebytes to check and also go through the antivirus settings as an administrator to see if it is being blocked. Check any parent safety programs you use.

Click on the windows button, bottom left and do a reset

If unsuccessful go to the reset page again and there should be an option to wipe and reinstall.

Thanks, I checked the parental settings and it wasn’t blocked. For some reason it is working now Hmm

So it’s back again. It says I need to upgrade and to the app page to do the update but there is no update there?

I’ve uninstalled roblox and when I go to re install it just says ‘couldn’t install/ we’ll try again shortly?

Then ‘something unexpected happened’ and gives me a code to report it. Then says wait a while or try to restart but Iv done all tjhat?

Please can someone help?? I have uninstalled roblox but can’t then reinstall?? It just goes to download and says there’s an error?? Doesn’t say what, just gives a code and you can click on report but of course does nothing.

Storage is fine there 658GB free. Dc are driving me crazy as so desperate to play on it and I’m stuck!!

I have deleted history, I have just reset, checked firewalls and done all that I can google....

I’m wondering if it’s to do with mcafee..... but can’t find the programmes permission section to see if it’s blocking it?

Iv been on mcafee but there is no section on it (as per you tube) that shows me a ‘permission’ session so I can’t see what’s being blocked?

Have checked on laptop and roblox isn’t blocked on there.

All the other games they play are fine on that laptops, it’s just roblox. Roblox is fine as other dc can play it on the other laptop but both want to play!

Okay, I got the same error code trying to update my Windows tablet and got it to work following the steps here support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164/fix-windows-update-errors

But that was Windows itself I was updating, I think you're trying to update Roblox?

Maybe look at this, it discusses update problems in Roblox.

I'm afraid I'm not au fait with that game.

No, we can get in the website and log in and see all the games etc but when you press play it says to down load it and it won’t download.
