I found one this morning. I thought I'd be at least thirty before one appeared, but I'm only 26! When did others first get one?

Sourdoughpizza · 06/05/2019 15:10

Probably late 20s, none since but recently pulled five thin white hairs out. Definitely stress related as been stressed lately. Am 39, very thick brown hair.

simbobs · 06/05/2019 15:12

46

Apparentlychilled · 06/05/2019 15:13
  1. But they started to accumulate in earnest in my late 30s and are now noticeable (I'm 43).
Gedge77 · 06/05/2019 15:34

None yet. I'm 47.

Sillybilly1234 · 06/05/2019 15:35

Early 40's

LizzieBananas · 06/05/2019 15:39

I was born with some. You can’t see them now as I have a full hair colour.

TessieVanKendre · 06/05/2019 15:54
  1. It was after I had my first child and pregnant with my second. I now have 3 kids and my grey hair has increased slightly. I did dye my hair dark brown, all the time to cover them, but I made a decision last July, to grow my roots out for a year and then go blonde. After 10 months, I now have a really cool grey streak at the front of my hair, which I have grown to like and am wondering whether I should carry on growing it lol. I'm 33 btw.
sweetsalt · 07/05/2019 09:35

late 20s

Connieston · 07/05/2019 09:38

Still waiting at 44! Just runs in the family I think. My lovely nan only ever had white wings and most of her hair was black right into her late seventies

LightDrizzle · 07/05/2019 09:42

Early forties.
I’m 48 now and while they’ve multiplied around my hairline and in front of my ears, I’m still overwhelmingly light mouse and you wouldn’t know it. If I was dark they would show.
I have friends who were (naturally) significantly grey by 30, but I seem to be following the pattern of my mum and grandma.
I think the next couple of years will see a lot more.

Ohyesiam · 07/05/2019 09:44

25

Branleuse · 07/05/2019 09:45

I think 19.

Ds had one at 15

Lilac3 · 07/05/2019 09:48

I was 30.
It started with white eyebrow hairs and then a few months later, grey hairs on head.

DH is 40 and still doesn't have any

Oblomov19 · 07/05/2019 09:56

None yet. Late 40's.

daisypond · 07/05/2019 10:00

Mid 20s. Hairdresser told me when I was about 14 that I would go grey early. Not something I wanted to hear!

Dandelion1993 · 07/05/2019 10:01

I'm also 26 and have had some.

mooglycrunch · 07/05/2019 10:02

40 - after my second baby. Not what I needed at that point.

isabellerossignol · 07/05/2019 10:03

I'm in my 40s and don't have any yet. My hairdresser has often commented on it being unusual at my age.

However, I am not youthful looking facially (sadly) so anyone who sees me from behind probably gets a huge shock when I turn round Grin

Melioration · 07/05/2019 10:07

I thought that was a bit young but reading this thread it is clear I was getting on a bit😆
