I'm currently sitting at the kitchen table enjoying a cup of tea in silence, listening to one of the girls moving about upstairs.

I had planned to be up and out early to town but then realised it's Sunday! So, I'll have another drink while it's quiet then get sorted for town & the girls will spend some time with their dad.

Dd2 has a bug hunt to do for homework so we'll head into the jungle back garden later on to do that, and probably do some baking too.

Roast chicken for tea and a chilled evening doing a few small repair jobs in front of a film. No idea what yet though.

What about you? :)

DH has kindly brought me coffee in bed do drinking that while mumsnetting. He is tidying the kitchen and creating breakfast. It will contain sausage and bacon is all I know.

We need food shop and DH needs to finally fix the bathroom tap and clean the oven. Then we started re-watching the avengers films yesterday for those we haven’t got round to yet. So will carry on that. Was thinking dinner out today but I might do a full chicken dinner instead.

BigStripeyBastard · 05/05/2019 10:03

A load of washing, a spot of housework, a Sunday roast, maybe some sewing and then a film this evening and a nice drop of wine. Love Sundays.

maddiemookins16mum · 05/05/2019 10:11

A bit of housework, DP is doing the ironing, DD is in bed (on her phone), I’m making steak pie for lunch at 2pm (the meat base is in the slow cooker), need to go and collect DMIL about 1pm (via Tesco for some sausages and onions). This evening we are at Church as the Youth Group are doing the whole service and 16 of them are coming back here after for a bit of a social time and food (hot dogs and pop). Will drop a load of them home about 10pm (all aged 12-16).

lucysmam · 05/05/2019 10:13

maddie I forgot about the ironing! I have school shirts and a jacket to do at some point before Tuesday

We need to take MIL to get her food shopping this morning.

DD is home for a few days and DS needs dropping at the cinema so DD and I might go for coffee and a natter.

Taking DD home late afternoon (she only lives 40 minutes away).

Half a roast for dinner with pies instead of meat.

I love the Sunday of a bank holiday weekend!

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/05/2019 10:29

I'm just about to get dressed so I can hang out the load of washing that is almost finished. I need to nip to Dunelm for a sock hanger-up-thingy as my current one is perishing rapidly and now only has pegs on one side so it's lopsided.

Then I'm painting the shed. DH is cooking steak for dinner although I'll probably start the spuds and prep the veg while he helps DS paint the fence. Glass of wine and Line of Duty and I'm done.

Pinkyponkcustard · 05/05/2019 10:32

Proper coffee and Mumsnetting while DS plays with his train set. Sunday lunch at my mums and then DH is dropping me in town to go to a gin festival with the girls. Cheers!

CakeNinja · 05/05/2019 10:34

Going to take ds swimming this morning.
Dp is in bed hungover (i actually feel okay surprisingly!), dd1 is asleep, dd2 is at a sleepover and will be back by about lunchtime.
We were supposed to be popping to the pub this afternoon for birthday drinks with a friend of dps but not sure we’ll make it.
We are all going out for dinner this evening with my family. No cooking or cleaning up, brilliant Smile

FrenchyQ · 05/05/2019 10:34

Had to take daughter to college, have been sat in the car park since 8.30am...only an hour to go!
Laying a patio when we get home

AragonsGirl · 05/05/2019 10:34

A lazy start for us all here, all slept til about 9. Just getting everyone washed and dressed and we'll head to local garden centre to pick up some plants for my hanging baskets, then go to the park next to it so the kids can burn off some energy. Home do potter about and do some housework, then I’ll cook a roast chicken and rhubarb crumble for dinner. Once kids are in bed I’ll hopefully get some cross stitching done.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 05/05/2019 10:35

2 birthday parties - 4 yo and 5 yo. In 2 different towns. Had another birthday party yesterday 😄 hopefully will flop tonight, was up til 2 making a cake this morning 😄

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 05/05/2019 10:37

Woke up in an apartment in Malta after rolling to bed at 3am following a night at a festival. My boyfriend is cooking me breakfast in bed, might snooze a bit more and then get glittered up for an afternoon at the pool party then back to the festival tonight for more dancing.
Life is good!

outofnothing · 05/05/2019 10:43

Cleaning up after last nights thai cooking session with DD1, tons of laundry, waiting for the Morrison's delivery so we can eat roast chicken tonight. Bit of pottering in the garden so we can keep up with the neighbours who unsocially started cutting their grass at 8.40 this morning. Catching up with emails.
Oh and looking for a new smart tv after our old, not smart, one has finally expired. This is proving so hard as they all seem so complicated and I don't know what's worth having - what on earth does 4K, OLED, HRD really mean. I think I just want someone to say "if you've got £300 to spend then get this one, £500 then this is your best bet and if you've got £1,500 you should stop watching too much tv!

DulcieRay · 05/05/2019 11:03

Park probably

Chilling the fuck out because we have nowhere to be until Tuesday 🙌🏽

Gardening - I have the smallest back border but it is full of rubble and rocks. Done 2/3 clearance now the final 1/3 then rack, compost and plants. Already got washing on the line. But first must finish brunch - part bake bread, sauasage and egg.

Thingywhatsit · 05/05/2019 12:04

I chose this weekend for a mega house sort out 🙁🙁🙁 went and brought kids new curtains yesterday as the sun had destroyed theirs. Got ds’s To put up today. Need to get the new bedroom furniture brought off Facebook that I picked up yesterday out the lounge and into my room today once I’ve finished the huge clear out and spring clean in there. Then off to pick up some bits off ecycle late afternoon and then spring clean will hopefully start in lounge - furniture re configured and a huge toy sort out that should have been done before dd’s birthday! That will carry on into tomorrow though.

Oh and I have about 8 loads of washing to do as I got 4 loads out of teen ds’s on Wednesday, plus all the sheets.

Need new blinds as well as the sun has destroyed them as well so if I get time will head to b&q to pick some up

Bluesheep8 · 05/05/2019 12:05

Taking it easy today as had a late night and a lot of wine last night due to my parents visiting. We went out for a lovely meal and they stayed over. Made them breakfast this morning before they left. DP has gone to watch his team's last game of the season and I'm lying on the sofa with the cat. Making burgers, chips and salad for tea and looking forward to Line of Duty later.

Theoldwoman · 05/05/2019 12:19

It's after 7pm here ...

DH and I went for a drive and found a lovely little cafe by the beach for brunch. One teen was home in bed, the other at her friends. Came home and did a few jobs around the place. Hung out with the chooks in the backyard. Picked up DD from her friends. Everyone got their own dinner tonight. DH is now watching Netflix and I'm on here.

TidyDancer · 05/05/2019 12:30

Exercise class this morning then home for a shower and now currently sitting on the sofa having eaten beans on toast watching reruns of tipping point. Rock on.

KetchupOnRoastDinner · 05/05/2019 12:33

Should be studying, still in bed on my 3rd cup of tea, watching funny videos on Reddit.

Going to get up for lunch, then read about modern construction methods...hopefully.

happypotamus · 05/05/2019 12:33

Trying not do die of exhaustion after having so little sleep last week?

Was at Guide camp Friday night and got home about 10pm yesterday. DH had bought DDs to pick me up and stay for a camp fire so we all had a lie in this morning. I took DDs to church and started tackling the mountain of washing. Need to do the food shop, tidy the house which has turned into a tip again, make DD1 do homework as this is the only day of the 4 day weekend that I am here to help her, some other life admin, try and recover sufficiently from the past week to face 13hrs at work tomorrow.

troppibambini · 05/05/2019 12:34

Got up at around nine and made breakfast for my four kids plus dd1(14)s friend who stayed last night.
Dh has taken the three youngest swimming with his brother. Ive had a tidy round, put a wash on and had a shower.
This afternoon we are going to a fair that's on locally food shop being delivered 6-7.
Other than that not much just chilling and relaxing.

gotmychocolateimgood · 05/05/2019 12:42

I'm in bed today--long term illness. Have managed to brush teeth and take meds. Will get some food soon.
DH took kids to rugby training and they're all going off to the park in a bit.
Planning to nap and doze, possibly have a bath later if feeling better. The cat is enjoying sitting on my chest and purring away.

Rockbird · 05/05/2019 12:49

Absolutely nothing planned. DD1 is sorting her room, DD2 is making videos of the cats. DH is semi working/arsing about on the computer and I am lying in bed watching the 7 Up series on YouTube with a mint aero and waiting for a cup of tea. Nowhere to be today for a change.
