James Morrison just came on my Spotify playlist "the pieces don't fit anymore".

What a song! I feel like im re-living all my past breakups...

Time - The Alan Parsons Project
Woman in Chains - Tears for Fears
Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton
Biggest Part of Me - Ambrosia

I should just copy and paste this list somewhere, cos it's the same songs...

Anyway, Evanescence Breathe No More, (they played this when I saw them live in 2017 and I cried the whole way through, they then followed it with My Heart Is Broken and that made me cry too!) Missing, My Immortal, My Last Breath, Lithium, Lost In Paradise.

Amy Lee Speak To Me, You're A Star.

Lacuna Coil, Wide Awake.

I have 2, both remind me of my fiancé who passed away.

Gerry & The Pacemakers - You'll Never Walk Alone (he was a big Liverpool fan)

Oasis - Champagne Supernova (his favourite song)

LadyOfTheCanyon · 02/05/2019 05:55

Who knows where the time goes by Fairport Convention. Sandy Denny's voice is so pure.

LeslieYep · 02/05/2019 06:03

Birds by Neil young. So simple, but beautifully emotive.

Flower by the eels. Teenage me cried to this a lot.

Fireworks by embrace. Not a huge embrace fan, but this song was there when I realised I was no longer loved by BF and had to do something.

Bring him home from Les Mis
The theme song at the end of Rambo
Suo Gân, a Welsh lullaby
Bright Eyes

This woman's work by Kate Bush.
For my baby that never made it.

niceberg · 02/05/2019 06:33

She’s a star - James. Reminds me of an intensely happy time with someone who it just wasn’t going to work out with. Twenty years on it still brings goose bumps.

wanderings · 02/05/2019 06:40

The cat carol. If you love cats, it's the saddest song ever. Sad Be warned if you Google it!

always2ndbest · 02/05/2019 06:45

Supermarket flowers by Ed Sheeran - saddest song I've ever listened to. Also Alone again, naturally by Gilbert O'Sullivan and Wind beneath my wings by Bette Midler. All 3 make me cry big snotty tears.

beenhereages1 · 02/05/2019 07:02

Slipping through my fingers - ABBA

Somewhere over the rainbow - Eva Cassidy

wornoutboots · 02/05/2019 07:07

Wherever you go - the calling

ForalltheSaints · 02/05/2019 07:15

Squeeze, Some Fantastic Place.

Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook have written some beautiful songs over the years, and this is easily their best.

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 02/05/2019 07:21

Supermarket flowers - Ed Sheehan

I loved her first - heartland I'd never heard it before my dad picked it for our dance at my wedding. Haven't been able to listen to it since.

ooooohbetty · 02/05/2019 08:13

Everything I own by Ken boothe. I cry ever time I think about it never mind hear it. It make me think of my mum who died.

Is there someone you know, who won't let you go, you're taking it all for granted.
You may lose them someday, someone takes them away
And you won't hear the words they say.
I would give everything I own,
Give up my life, my heart, my home.
I would give everything I own just to have you back again
Just to talk to you once again

Nemo1189 · 02/05/2019 08:15

Dermot Kennedy - for island fires and family. Gets me every time

MrsS92 · 02/05/2019 08:32

Bruce Springsteen- when you need me, always makes me cry
Paramore - you are the only exception

PointlessUsername · 02/05/2019 10:23

Usher- Moving Mountains.

Makes me a lil sad.

loveonthewall · 02/05/2019 13:35

The line "no one in your life is with you constantly, no one is completely on your side".

loveonthewall · 02/05/2019 13:38

And Angel flying too close to the ground. Makes my tears flow

Narya · 02/05/2019 13:42

No one but you - Queen
Whiskey lullaby - Alison Krauss
Two beds and a coffee machine - Savage Garden
Accidental Babies - Damien Rice

Badwifey · 02/05/2019 13:46

Let it go by James Bay

Just reminds me of how me and my DH were before life happened. We'll stick it out and hope it can be like that again when we catch a break.

ShinyRuby · 02/05/2019 13:50

This Woman's Work by Kate Bush is so very sad, the opening is so haunting. Slipping Through My Fingers by Abba always makes me cry even if I feel absolutely fine when it starts. Every word is so relevant with daughters.
