My DS can't get his head round the word she, he always says her. For example when my DD is crying, DS always says 'her is angry' or 'does her need a clean nappy?' So sweet!

I'd love to hear yours 😊

My eldest used to say "Doctor Down There" Blush for Doctor Brown Bear in Peppa Pig, which was cute and funny.

My youngest called her dummy "mummy'.

IntoValhalla · 01/05/2019 15:03

DC1 could say “pineapple” for the longest time - it was always “pina-bapple” Grin Its stuck, and now the whole family call it Pinabapple!
We are a multi-lingual house and DC2 (2 and a half) will often start a sentence in English and finish it in my mother tongue which can be very funny, as literal translations often don’t make much sense!

fblake · 01/05/2019 15:05

@SecondHandTicking my DS calls Swashbuckle Squash Bottles 😂

DD2 (just 4) doesn't watch a lot of TV or read comics but has picked up on superheroes at nursery. But without any other reference points, she has misheard Spider-Man and now refers to herself as SpiderMum. SpiderMum has lots of arms because she is so busy, apparently.

marciagetscreamed · 01/05/2019 15:11

I am 'Diddy', never mummy.
I love it and hope they never stop saying it. They can both say mummy perfectly, I have no idea where Diddy came from Grin

MrsDilligaf · 01/05/2019 15:42

My DD calls crumpets "trumpets", she's also got a little bit of a lisp, so Christmas is pronounced cwith-mus, I've loved all the mispronounced words, I should have written them down.

MissMilly88 · 01/05/2019 15:43

'navilla' instead of 'vanilla'

GraduationDilemma · 01/05/2019 15:45

I still call radiators raderators and gloves are glubs.

GraduationDilemma · 01/05/2019 15:46

Oh and Frisbees are Crispies. Grin

maslinpan · 01/05/2019 15:48

The electric whisk is in fact 'electric whiskers".

SprinkleOfInsanity · 01/05/2019 15:54

My 5 year old has only recently realised that it's not 'pissed-appeared' but 'disappeared' Sad the former brought us so much joy!

Others:

Bibit for biscuit
Minnor for mirror
Yis and Yat for This and That
Lair for there I.e look over lair

I could never correct her for any of them, they were just too cute.

Sproutsandall · 01/05/2019 16:04

We have «muddy cuddles» instead of puddles with Dd, who’s just 3 (thank you, Peppa). She also says «carry you» instead of «carry me».

LorelaiVictoriaGilmore · 01/05/2019 16:46

My DS (he's 3) calls the 'study' the 'miss daddy'... he thinks it's called that because he misses daddy when he's at home but has to work. My heart melts!

FrenchyQ · 01/05/2019 16:57

Kinder eggs are ninja eggs.
My daughter couldn't pronounce any words with fl at the start, it all came out sounding like sl.... Was OK until she points at a flag and says very loudly 'look mummy there's a slag'

soulrunner · 01/05/2019 17:01

The teenage ginger turtles

The snowman in Frozen is called ‘Snowlaf’

RangerLady · 01/05/2019 17:03

4 yo still says evelant instead of elephant. Also ho-tayul for hotel. And I was very sad when torteless went (tortoise)

hazandduck · 01/05/2019 17:11

Aw these are making me melt! My DD is 17 months and her favourite cuddly is a big floppy rabbit called “Nunny.” It is the first thing she asks for in the morning, standing in her cot calling to Nunny! (Bunny.) She can say words beginning with B clearly, like ‘bu-byeee’ and ‘baby’ but for some reason she can’t say ‘bunny.’ I hope she never does to be honest! It’s too cute.

AsMuchUseAsAMarzipanDildo · 01/05/2019 17:16

DD is 2, can have a really fluent conversation with her, she can count to 20, but sticks to some funny words.

Trousers are “yeah yeahs”. I have no idea why. She can say trousers, but prefers “yeah yeahs”.

Always gets white and black mixed up, love her.

Remote is the “toller”.

Brushing your hair is “let’s do a hair tie”.

Embarrassingly...Her Crocs are “cocks” and she says crunch as “cunts”. The last time she said that DH and I made the mistake of laughing, cue her marching around shouting “cunts cunts cunts” at the top of her voice for what felt like an hour Blush

singymummy · 01/05/2019 17:26

Pins and Noodles Grin

We all say it now instead of pins and needles it's stuck Smile

Chickenfillets · 01/05/2019 17:33

Parsnips are "pear sticks"
Lollys are "yollys"
Binoculars and "vinoc-a-le-as" 😁

MrBrown · 01/05/2019 17:35

Instead of crusty eyes (I.e in the morning when just woken up) he says custard eyes. Makes me giggle every time Grin

He also says jelly butter instead of belly button Grin he can say belly and button on their own though 🤷‍♀️

Seashell80 · 01/05/2019 17:35

Cinema is cimena and isoflation for isolation-usually when singing 'Let it go' at the top of her lungs!

RomanyQueen1 · 01/05/2019 17:41

My ds2 used to say oggyyog for yoghurt.
My dd used to say grown ups instead of doughnuts. Was funny when she said she'd like one when we were standing in food queues

Ewanthescreamsheep · 01/05/2019 17:51

Blueberries are blooblies.
Fern and Rory's Vet Tails is Furry Bobtails 😂

thenewaveragebear1983 · 01/05/2019 18:28

My ds (3) says Helicoplet instead of helicopter. He used to say 'cutie-cumber' instead of cucumber and I never corrected him because I thought it was so adorable, but he says it properly now anyway.
