My DS can't get his head round the word she, he always says her. For example when my DD is crying, DS always says 'her is angry' or 'does her need a clean nappy?' So sweet!

I'd love to hear yours 😊

My eldest is 9 and still says some words incorrectly.

Air low plane instead of aeroplane

Look likes instead of looks like

We still get a lot of 'brung' and tenses of words mixed up

And up until recently logurt instead of yogurt

😂

Limpshade · 01/05/2019 14:12

Raining is "rainden".

Ohhhh nooo, rainden Mummy!

Whiskyagogo · 01/05/2019 14:13

Oh and mokenentroll instead of remote control

😂😂😂

When reciting the alphabet song, DSD2 used to say "...f, g, h, i, j, k, lemon, o, p..." as to her ears l, m, n sounded like lemon lol.

DD1 still says "eggs & shoulders" for tea or "Norberries & cream" Grin

DD2 currently says:
Clam = Pram
Mimmote= Remote
Hammidge = Sandwich
Hoppytool= Hospital
Bobs= Babywipes Confused
Jumpyline= Trampoline
PackPack= Backpack

OoohSmooch · 01/05/2019 14:14

my 2 year old DS says 'mine' meaning 'me' or 'i'll' I love it! If he wants to do something he says 'mine do it'

So similar to my 2 year old DD...she says 'mice'. The best one at the moment is 'it's a bit working' if something doesn't work :-D

inthekitchensink · 01/05/2019 14:15

Dd nearly 3 - sings baa baa black sheep have you done a wool.
Daddylions for dandelions
Blueberries for bluebells
Bean park for theme park
Auntie for uncle
Meeeecrowav for microwave
Golf for ping pong Confused

Porn Beef sandwich Grin** Best thing I've read today!

DD is 10 and calls that posh gym down the road "David L-Loyd".

Zuma76 · 01/05/2019 14:17

Baby cheesus- she is 4 so learned all about Jesus for the school nativity this year!

OpposableThumbs2 · 01/05/2019 14:18

My favourite is my 3 year old saying she has ninished her mulk.

Thestral · 01/05/2019 14:20

We have a bounceoline in our garden.

blamethecat · 01/05/2019 14:23

Lompster (lobster)
Scrumpled egg

hardyloveit · 01/05/2019 14:26

My youngest keeps saying she has
Chicky pops instead of chickenpox (she goes to nursery and keeps hearing the word) she's two and every time she feels hot or sees a red mark it's "mummy I have chicky pops"

Oh and my eldest when we moved to a new house with a utility (we hadn't had one before) kept calling it a newtility lol she was only 5 at the time!

CoffeeChocolateWine · 01/05/2019 14:27

When my DS was little and learning his alphabet he used to say ‘...H I J K lemon lemon P’! It was so cute it actually broke my heart to correct him! He would also say ‘wets do this’ and ‘wets do that’ instead of let’s.

DD is almost 7 and still says ambliance instead of ambulance and lellow instead of yellow!

LorelaiRoryEmily · 01/05/2019 14:31

My ds is 3 and he says “can I want a biscuit” instead of can I have. I love it. He says Rhinoronerous for rhinoceros. It’s adorable

bibbitybobbityyhat · 01/05/2019 14:36

My dd is 18 now but I'll never forget how she used to sing along to Bear Necessities "forget about your worries and your stripes" [love smiley].

bibbitybobbityyhat · 01/05/2019 14:38

Ah, these are so lovely!

My ds used to say "can I had a carrot" "can I had an apple" etc. Oooh, I'd give anything to just go back for one day!

Livpool · 01/05/2019 14:41

"Crips" for crisps

He is not in a gang ha

BillyAndTheSillies · 01/05/2019 14:45

DS(3) really confused me the other day asking for "so Sonya". It took me a while to realise he meant lasagne.

He also says "a little wild" instead of little while. So he'll ask if he can play a little wild, or if I can stay in bed for a little wild. Makes me smile so much I can't correct him.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 01/05/2019 14:45

DD2 is 6 but still refers to arm-sleeves and leg-sleeves... Sleeves on tops/coats, and the legs on trousers/tights. I think her way is more logical.

We also have bedtime tables instead of bedside tables. Again it's logical.

BillyAndTheSillies · 01/05/2019 14:46

Oh and headphones are his listening ears.

MustardScreams · 01/05/2019 14:49

Dd says huge in a proper Norfolk accent “it’s HOOOGE mummy!”

Too-tumber for cucumber.

The best one is luff ooo mummy. My heart!!

SecondHandTicking · 01/05/2019 14:50

Lovely thread!

Squash bucklers on CBeebies
Hippopotopus
I let them say marshmellow and rocksack for years, it broke my heart to correct them Grin
