My DS can't get his head round the word she, he always says her. For example when my DD is crying, DS always says 'her is angry' or 'does her need a clean nappy?' So sweet!

I'd love to hear yours 😊

My youngest doesn't use something, he nuses it. My eldest liked a good pilm and a pleep (film and sleep). We still go to the cinema to see a pilm!

Blamethecat
My daughter is 9 and still says merote for remote
My 4 year old made up his own word for a number bigger than infinity that we now as a family use to say how much we love each other.
When my daughter was about 3 she named the local newspaper shop the green shop as when the shutters were down they were green so now our families all call it that

fblake · 06/05/2019 20:30

Love these! 😂

My DS calls Grand Old Duke or York the Old Duke of Naught! Doesn't have the same ring to it 😂

My then 3 year old announced he had 'heart beeps'. He meant heartburn and had heard me complaining about it when I was pregnant with his sister. My heart still melts thinking about it

supersop60 · 06/05/2019 20:55

Scettos =Tesco
No 's' in front of words eg mall=small, mile=smile

Sweatybetty81 · 06/05/2019 21:04

Cup-of-chino
(Cappuccino)

Sweatybetty81 · 06/05/2019 21:05

And our medicine box is the ‘Poorly Box’ ❤️

weepat · 06/05/2019 21:21

weepat · 06/05/2019 21:23

Lemon lolly shop was the local.pharmacy where she got a lemon Chupa Chup .
It was so sour.

weepat · 06/05/2019 21:26

Earbrows. Hairy old man ears of an elderly relative.

justalittlestitious · 06/05/2019 21:32

Countylator and barbecube are my current favourites!

Charley50 · 06/05/2019 21:39

My DS (now aged 15) used t call milk 'joop!'

Myotherhusbandisgaryoldman · 06/05/2019 21:41

DD is 11 - wanted Bonjela for a mouth ulcer but couldn't remember what it was called.
She said "bongola".
I nearly ingested myself laughing.
Another one, when she was a lot younger, she wanted to say "bitten" but couldn't get her brain engaged - came out as "bitened".
So cute

MissMogwai · 06/05/2019 21:55

My DD now 15 used to say sam-is-i-mo for samosa.

She was so cute I recorded her and play it back from time to time 😂

Just remembered my older daughter used to call her knees her knee bows (leg elbows when asked why 😂)

GrumpyMummy123 · 06/05/2019 21:59

Today my 5yr old asked when he'll be allowed a 'puppy flush' = Slush puppy.

I've been giggling all day about it.

Mmmmdanone · 06/05/2019 22:30

My ds used to say truff-eyeful for trifle. So cute!

bonbonours · 06/05/2019 22:38

I wish I had noted down stuff my kids said wrong, the only one I remember is 'too roll' which was a mix of toilet and loo roll.

Though my 8 year old's speech is still not the clearest and his sisters keep taking the mickey cos he says 'it taste - es' instead of 'it tastes.' I think it's cute.

bonbonours · 06/05/2019 22:39

Oh just remembered my daughter called the back of your knees 'legpits' 😂

Scoutingmum · 07/05/2019 09:05

With 4 kids I have so many, but when my oldest now 9 was little he would ask for trees (broccoli) for dinner.
A cug cug was where he got confused with the words hug and cuddle.
We still use these now

NorthernRunner · 07/05/2019 09:07

Bumbly bee was my favourite 😊

Scoleah · 07/05/2019 09:10

DS 2
Firefly glass- magnifying glass
Stink- sink (always putting stuff in the stink)

WeAreAllAdults · 07/05/2019 09:40

DS 2
Guggle Gees - bumble bees, but spoken like a bad ventriloquist.
Nubbin - Muffin
Cock - clock.
Peas - please.
Peesh - peas.
Yesh - yes. He says it just like Ken Dodd's Diddy Man Grin

dellacucina · 07/05/2019 11:38

Oh, some of these posts remind me that DD seemed to believe that beads, bees, and beans were all called the same thing (beans). Funny mental associations she must have!

RagingWhoreBag · 07/05/2019 13:04

Countylator is brilliant! Love all of these. Almost makes all the hard work worth it Grin

RagingWhoreBag · 07/05/2019 13:05

We also had radylator and screwdledriver
