What did you do for your 30th?

Partners 30th this year, I can't think of a present that is special enough, so what did you do for your 30th? Or what did you get your other half's for there's?

I had a party, with decent caterers. It was a week before my sisters wedding, and otherwise ran the risk of being not marked at all.

DH pulled it out of the bag, lunch at my favourite restaurant and a trip to Ibiza.

When he was 30, we were in those early skint first time homeowner days, but he was delighted with a big party TBH.

Went on our honeymoon on mine and found out about DS1 on DH's.

Went out dressed up to the nines and had a crazy brilliant night with a lot of friends I hadn't seen in ages. And ended up on a plane to Prague.
I can recommend the underground jazz club there.

For DHs 30th I took him on a helicopter flight over the City where we live, which I knew he'd love.

I was heavily pregnant on my 30th so it was slightly less exciting, but we had a big meal with extended family in my home City, then another meal out with friends where I live.

Mine was last year, friends were working and I was a couple of months away from meeting my DP. I took myself on a day trip to Chester and then in the evening met up with another friend who also turned 30 that day and went on a big night out. Didn't get any presents or anything, but I took myself to Rome for a few days the day after. I've never been that bothered about birthdays and normally never do anything, but I thought my 30th is something I will remember the rest of my life so may as well do something!

Dc turned 1 at the same time so we had a party with bouncy castle in afternoon and then a few of my closest friends stayed on and we had a few drinks. I was getting married a few weeks later so dh bought me my wedding perfume

I was travelling in Australia and got very drunk and watched a sunrise with the highly unsuitable man I was seeing.

Went to Vegas with a bunch of pals!!

DH took me to Reykjavik. It was amazing

My ex (obviously he wasn't ex at the time) and I went to Barcelona for the weekend for my 30th, along with my best friend and her boyfriend. Ex bought me jewellery as a present (I'd been moaning that no-one ever buys me jewellery so at least he listened). We still had a blazing row one night though. Oops.

For the ex's 30th, we went to New York for a long weekend, staying with a good friend of mine in Brooklyn (we used to work together in NYC). We had a fabulous time, including a bonkers day trip to Washington DC in scorching temperatures.

NYC was definitely more successful for us than Barcelona.

I had a carvery with my fam and oh. My sister made me a fab cake.
We had a party round my Mums.
Then......a stripper came in dressed as a policeman. He took it all off and had the puniest, baldest body and a cocktail sausage.
It was horrific. It was my sisters surprise.
The cake was sufficient.
Worst part....my ss was in the room...aged 11. Omg.
