Are my eyelash extensions nice?

DH hasn't noticed 😫 and I'm debating now whether they were worth the £45!! I'm starting a bit of a self care process after being on maternity leave and getting ready to go back to work, I haven't been looking after myself and it's snowing badly. Monday is hair cut & colour day!

Your lashes look nice but if you only want them that length I think you could achieve the same look with a lash lift and tint. That would save you money in the long run.

Mummyshark2018 · 06/04/2019 23:14

They look very natural, personally I would prefer more and longer lashes if I was paying for them. Could you not have got that look with just eyelash curlers and mascara?

khaktosaret1 · 07/04/2019 07:44

Hello!

Your eyelashes are lovely. Your natural lashes are on the short side and they wouldn't be able to support the weight of a really long lash extension, making it sit out of shape on top of your natural lash and wouldn't look nice.

My mum does eyelash extensions and it's hard work that takes a lot of skill and effort. £45 is more than fair in my opinion for a natural fill.

Don't worry about DH, you just take care and love yourself 🤗 hope you feel better soon

Poppyfields21 · 07/04/2019 07:45

Love them, really natural but pretty. I asked for this the one time I had them done and came out with awfully long, thick camel lashes. I was so disappointed I’ve never had them done again.

spaniorita · 07/04/2019 09:52

Thank you!! I've woken up this morning really pleased with them - like I've gone to the effort of putting mascara on but without having done so 😄

I think they look perfect, and you definitely don't need longer. Those heavy super long eyelashes just look fake. You look like you have got fantastic lashes of your own.

Nulu · 07/04/2019 10:49

If they are Express lashes, they are not on an individual lash and you should not keep them on for more than a week as when you natural lashes grow they will pull and fall out. So not worth £45. They look nice though x

Bess66 · 07/04/2019 10:52

Very nice and natural

Holidayshopping · 07/04/2019 10:54

I think they look quite different to the ‘before’ photo. How long do they last?

Mrsjayy · 07/04/2019 10:55

I like them and does it matter if you dh didn't notice tbf they are eyelashes who actually notices somebodies eyelashes unless they are false

Mrsjayy · 07/04/2019 10:56

Sticky on false😀

RuggyPeg · 07/04/2019 10:56

They look lovely.

I did wonder what it snowing had to do with anything 😃

Mrsjayy · 07/04/2019 10:58

I would like to have them done but I think i would blink too much

spaniorita · 07/04/2019 11:00

The lady said they should last 2-3 weeks

Ooo they're lovely OP!!! (And I'm not even that keen on fake eyelash-things!!)

About your DH: he may not notice your eyelashes specifically ((warning - sexist comment - I don't think men notice small details like that!!)
but, I bet you, he is probably thinking that you look truly lovely (and probably is trying to figure out why!)

spaniorita · 07/04/2019 11:01

Ha! DH is too busy faffing about in the garden, he hasn't looked twice bless him!

Grin at "blessed my moustache" !!! ... I curse mine

Really like the eyelashes. I much prefer them to the heavy stick-on variety that seems popular these days

spaniorita · 07/04/2019 11:04

I haven't combed them through yet today but they do look alright still.

I snorted at 'blessed my moustache' too, bloody autocorrect! Good old Jolene bleach though it did wonders!

Oh crikey, I thought they lasted for months.

They do look nice, but that’s a lot of money for something that will be gone in a fortnight.

spaniorita · 07/04/2019 11:06

Yeah it is a lot of money isn't it. I thought I would splash out though but probably should have done it next weekend ready for going back to work on 15th but hey ho.

Nulu · 07/04/2019 11:25

If you leave them on for 2 weeks you will lose your own lashes. I've done eyelashes for over 2 years and a full set of classic lashes (one lash on one lash) takes 1.5-2 hours, so they must be Express lashes. I've lost lashes from Express lashes before!

Nulu · 07/04/2019 11:26

£20 is normally the right amount for an Express set x

BulletWithABun · 07/04/2019 11:29

They look very nice, really natural. I've never had this done so haven't a clue about the price. If I got this kind of result though I'd be happy having paid £45.

CutSomeRug · 07/04/2019 11:36

They look lovely, OP. Like natural long eyelashes not like the spidery, clumpy overlong things some people have.

My DH wouldn’t notice either he might say ‘you look nice today’ or something to that effect but he wouldn’t specifically be able to pin point it down to the lashes. It’s a bit like when people have good Botox, they just look ‘fresher’ overall rather than like something has been done.

spaniorita · 07/04/2019 12:08

On a whim I've just ordered this eyelash curling kit - it seems to have good reviews. When the extensions are done I will give this a try.

Anyone used this or similar before?
