Are my eyelash extensions nice?

DH hasn't noticed 😫 and I'm debating now whether they were worth the £45!! I'm starting a bit of a self care process after being on maternity leave and getting ready to go back to work, I haven't been looking after myself and it's snowing badly. Monday is hair cut & colour day!

They look nice but I wouldn't notice they'd been 'done' unless you'd started with no or little eyelashes. I think £45 is a bit of a rip off.

spaniorita · 06/04/2019 20:26

Thanks @pouch, I take your point, and thanks for the tip about remover.

It looks like they’ve not applied to every last when you zoom in

Jellybean100 · 06/04/2019 20:27

For people saying it’s more than they’d like to pay- you get what you pay for with eyelash extensions. A good technician using quality products can set you back £60 for the initial set.
Use an oil free make up remover to remove make up (oil based will lift the glue and you’ll lose your lashes) x

sandi2019 · 06/04/2019 20:27

You have gorgeous eyes anyway and I can see the change with your new lashes.

I really do think they look nice....many ladies go for this look and are completely happy with it.....xx

They're pretty xx

....if you're after something more dramatic, you could go for volume lashes (I have 5D Russians.....but they're a bit mental TBF) xxx and expensive.....£100 to get the first set and then £40 infill every three weeks.......😬 xxx so to get your full set if naturals on at that cost is about right I think xx

I would wear magnetic lashes you know....save me hundreds of pounds every year....some look just like mine but I cant put them on.....:-(

Jacksback · 06/04/2019 20:28

Lovely very natural
( but you expected hubby to notice ? Rofl )
Keep posting all your mini makeovers
I love a good makeover , good for you

Monkey44 · 06/04/2019 20:28

they look good OP, very natural but nice bit of oomph! my dh wouldn't notice so I wouldn't worry about that. They are lovely and make your eye colour pop.

sandi2019 · 06/04/2019 20:28

Ps my partner NEVER noticeds my infills........"just looks the same, love" xx

scissorlover · 06/04/2019 20:30

I agree they look lovely and naturally. Only if you were going for that deliberate, obviously false lash look then I’d say probably not worth it

spaniorita · 06/04/2019 20:31

Thank you @sandi2019

... and yes it was perhaps a tall order expecting dh to notice!!

He will definitely notice the hair do!

Will keep this thread posted with the bits i do!

I think they look lovely spaniorita Smile

Enjoy the rest of your pampering sessions, and best of luck with your return to work Flowers

Cassimin · 06/04/2019 20:33

They look lovely, natural and long.
My daughter gets hers done and goes for the un natural clumpy look, pays the same as you, yours are far better.

Morticiaismymumgoal · 06/04/2019 20:36

It depends what look you were going for, they look like 'your' lashes, I imagine they'd look the same in the first photo if you were wearing a good mascara. So if you were going for not wearing mascara and spending time each day applying it and removing it they're fab. Personally I'd want trashy lashes if I'd paid to get them done, but then I don't care about looking 'fake', I am fake! Tan, unnatural coloured hair, obvious fake nails etc. They look like natural very nice lashes.

spaniorita · 06/04/2019 20:37

Thank you very much @Staywithmemyblood - I'm going to need all the luck!

Really appreciate all the advice and comments on here - even those managing my expectations, so thanks all!!

Samind · 06/04/2019 20:39

I think they're nice and natural. You have lovely eyes as well!!

spaniorita · 06/04/2019 20:40

And I'm a bit hit and miss at putting makeup on as often as I ought to, so these will at least give me a bit of oomph on the days that I don't manage after getting a 12 month old, a 7 year old, myself and DH out of the house by 7am!!

OP posts:
Banhaha · 06/04/2019 20:41

Ooh they look good. I'm looking into eyelash things at the moment so pleased to see they can look nice and subtle and natural.

spaniorita · 06/04/2019 20:42

Thank you @Samind - don't often get told that with them being so dark. I like my eyes because my dad gave them to me (he died 17 years ago) and he got his eyes from my very beloved nan who passed away in November so my eyes do remind me of both of them!

OP posts:
DiscoDown · 06/04/2019 20:48

I think they're lovely, they look longer but not fake. I'm tempted to get mine done now!

spaniorita · 06/04/2019 20:55

I'm pleased I got them done, if I have them done again I might request more of a curl if that's possible.

OP posts:
sandi2019 · 06/04/2019 21:47

You're lucky with your eye colour....tried to get mine like that with contact lenses in the 90s......everyone was wearing the greeny/hazel ones.....they looked horrendous! 🙊 xx

FrozenMargarita17 · 06/04/2019 21:55

I think they look lovely. Not too fake looking!

Goandplay · 06/04/2019 21:57

I think they’re lovely. I have mine very similar and no one ever realised they are extensions. The reason I have them is a bit of blusher and I look like I have a full face of make up.

My DP wouldn’t notice either. He will keep saying though ‘you look pretty’ etc which isn’t a normal thing he says at all. So I prefer that to him saying oh you’ve had your lashes done? They look nice.

ballsdeep · 06/04/2019 22:00

They look lovely.
Absolutely hate the heavy eye lash and eye shadow look which makes it look like torture just to blink.

Nome77 · 06/04/2019 22:53

Dont use any make up that's water proof or eye makeup remover that has oil in it best to just use cleanser
