alaric I think the opposite!!

MrsTerryPratchett · 06/04/2019 00:03

I could not disagree more @alaric77

The hairless, characterless, Ken-doll six packs do absolutely nothing for me. And in the olden days they were expected to have lovely voices as well.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 06/04/2019 00:04

How about Jean Gabin? Good enough for Marlene Dietrich to shag!

Agree MrsTerry - and they had better clothes as well!

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 06/04/2019 00:08

Errol Flynn - yes please

Agree MrsTerry - and they had better clothes as well!

So much this. And they were expected to be charming and funny.

Which is why Jason Statham I get but Taylor Lautner I don't.

MrsTerryPratchett · 06/04/2019 00:11

And if you took Marlon Brando and gave him hair, make-up, teeth whitening, personal trainers, fake tan and Photoshop, you'd get Channing Tatum on a very good day.

Except Brando could act.

Well who do you like?

PrivateIsles · 06/04/2019 00:17

I was just thinking that - what would eg wholesome everyman James Stewart look like if he was in Hollywood now? I think faces had more character and individuality back in the day. I am sounding ancient. But that appeals to me much more than the current crop. But as you say alaric each to their own!! Fully agree with that!

crazypsychedelictrifle · 06/04/2019 00:17

Layne Staley

I love this pic of James Stewart. It looks like it could have been taken yesterday imo

Paul Rudd is total 'boy next door'. I think he's nice but not a head turner.

hazandduck · 06/04/2019 00:26

@Privateisles that picture of Jimmy is gorgeous. He just had so much personality, completely funny and charming and a gent. Just loved him.

shivermetimbers77 · 06/04/2019 00:28

I'm just going to leave this here..

Dirk Bogarde. Dont care if he was gay, i never had a chance anyway.

I'd take Mags over Morten any day. Plus Morten has some very weird views about abortion.

Dont care if he was gay, i never had a chance anyway.

Billy Zane was on my laminated list and someone once said, "oh, isn't be gay?". My response was, "yes, the reason a rich, gorgeous, American Hollywood actor won't shag me is going to be because he's gay. Right".
