Would you drive dd to and from the bus stop?

Dd is 12 and started secondary school last September. It's an easy journey on one bus.

Bus stop is about a 7 min walk from home, uphill on the way there and obviously downhill coming home.

Dd keeps asking for a lift to the bus stop. Some mornings dh is going anyway so she goes with him. Other days she usually persuades me to drive her. Often she'll message me in the afternoon to pick her up with various excuses - her pe bag is heavy, it's hot/cold/raining etc.

Because I only work part time and I'm nice I normally agree but now dd is starting to expect it.

WWYD?

No
Only if it was on my way in the mornings or she had something huge like a tuba

arkela 'Lazy madam'? Fuck off. That phrase says more about you than the OP's DD.

She's a perfectly healthy child who can't be arsed to walk for seven minutes. Lazy madam is about right, I'd say. (Although I'm admittedly intrigued as to what you think this phrase says about me 😄)

No.

As a child our school bus went from a 10 minute walk away and we walked from about age 8.

When I went to college my mum did use to drop me / pick me up as the nearest bus stop was about a 40-50 minute walk (lived rurually) though I did walk it from time to time if it was nice enough weather.

for 7 minutes not a chance

It's nice to be kind.
Do it if you can.
She'll remember you did and how kind you are.

I wouldn't no. But I wouldnt get the car out for a 7 minute walk for myself. As it gets lighter and the weather better, why don't you walk with her or meet her and walk home with her?
