Petty Mothers day gripes

Dh cooks for me once a year.

Last Mother's Day I was woken up at 8am for cold toast with clover smeared on top (while cold) and tea.

I hate clover. It's vile at the best if times but dh keeps it in because he is lazy and likes the spreadability. His excuse for not using butter was that the toast was cold alredy so had to use clover. Hmm

I've been after American pancakes this year, smothered in maple syrup. This bit is important he knows this.

This year I was given a massive plate of American pancakes. No butter, no syrup covered in thawed black currants.
He said he didn't know I hated them that much. THAT MUCH.

Black currants are literally the only fruit I wont eat. I hate them. he knows this. I won't even touch black currant jam or ribena. THESE HAD NO SUGAR.

We're talking about two handfuls worth of black currants. I took a bite assuming they would be blue berries because what kind of monster would do that to pancakes. But no, black currants. I'm a vegetarian but I cook all his favourite meals, meat included. And he has a list as long as your arm of vegetables he won't eat that I can never use.

Just one fucking day.

Anyone else have any petty complaints?

DH took the kids out to give me a long lie and a couple hours' peace.

I was bored and lonely by lunchtime and had to phone him to come back Grin
