Dh is away for weekend, so I’ve been specific with the teenagers, they have booked a table.

I’d be happy with a card as well. No cooking or cleaning, happy daysSmile

Nicknacky · 25/03/2019 20:48

I’m lateshift so not much. Give me a cup of coffee and a card in bed and i will be fine with that,

MrsJonesAndMe · 25/03/2019 20:49

We'll go out somewhere, but as yet undecided. Possibly Kew gardens.

Really posh lunch with DH and DDs.

Stompythedinosaur · 25/03/2019 21:15

I get a lie in while dp cooks a roast dinner for me, dm and dmil.

bliminy · 25/03/2019 21:27

Hmm. I've timed this all wrong. I'm in the US for UK mother's day, and in the UK for US mother's day.

Bugger.

AragonsGirl · 25/03/2019 21:27

I’ll be on holiday with my husband, children and in laws. So I’m having a day off cooking duty, husband will do a roast, and I’ll drink gin! Perfect!

Walnutwhipster · 25/03/2019 21:38

I'm having a major operation tomorrow so will still be in hospital.

BackforGood · 25/03/2019 21:49

We won't go on the day, but my teen dd has asked me if, instead of chocs on the day, I'd like her to take me to see the new Dumbo film. Smile

MrsJonesAndMe · 26/03/2019 05:58

Good luck @Walnutwhipster

That's sweet BackforGood

MinnieMountain · 26/03/2019 06:03

DH is back from a week's holiday the day before, so I shall be gazing benignly on DS whilst doing bugger all Grin

Actually, lie in, swimming, park, takeaway.

Connieston · 26/03/2019 06:06

The boys will be at their dads so I've said I'd love a cup of tea when they're home on Sunday evening and I'll treat them to a pizza maybe Grin. Otherwise lounging in bed with my partner at his house. Youngest already given me a present which was a decorated rock. I'll take that!

Phillipa12 · 26/03/2019 06:09

Its ds2s 5th birthday. Dumbo at the cinema followed by mcdonalds and cake. Im so excited!

BaconAndAvocado · 26/03/2019 08:45

DH has booked afternoon tea at the place that we got married, can't wait as DCs haven't seen it!

ILiveInSalemsLot · 26/03/2019 09:41

My 11 yr old asked me if I’d like breakfast in bed. It was so sweet as he didn’t know how to ask as he knew he’d be ruining the surprise if he asked but he also had suspicions that I’m not the breakfast in bed type of person.
My dcs play football on Sundays so it will be a normal day with maybe cards and little gifts. Dh usually sorts something out.

TipseyTorvey · 26/03/2019 09:47

We were going to a local pub for lunch as I refuse to cook and wash up on mother's day but then lovely friends invited us all down for the weekend so we're going to their local pub with all of us instead so that will be much more jolly and a treat for me as she's a good friend I rarely get to see now we have DCs.

chillychicken · 26/03/2019 09:58

I'll be in the gym for 7am, then home to a box of chocolates (DS has told me this is what he's bought me. He's 4 and doesn't understand surprises yet Grin) and breakfast. Then we'll pick my mum up and go to the crematorium to lay flowers for my Nan and MIL. Back to ours for lunch and then a walk along the beach.

Meet0nTheledge · 26/03/2019 10:05

Getting up fairly early and going to a football match. I'll send my mum a card and flowers and ring her in the evening. We don't normally do anything differently to a normal Sunday.

chickenalapesh · 26/03/2019 10:07

Were all going to revs de Cuba for 241 cocktails 😂we are a big family of 16 inc partners and kids etc.

Seeline · 26/03/2019 10:17

As every year - taking both my Mum and MIL out for lunch. I haven't had a Mother's Day of my own since I first became a Mum 17 years ago.
And we haven't has a Christmas with just our little family either.

Both Mums are on their own and Dh is an only, and my sibling lives away. Both Mums are local to us. Can't really leave them on their own.....

Happynow001 · 26/03/2019 10:24

My mum doesn't like eating out so I'll cook us both lunch and admire the Mother's Day cards and decide where to place flowering pot plant I've bought her then potter in the garden. Hope the weather's OK!

anniehm · 26/03/2019 10:25

Who knows? Kids are adults, they haven't said a word. We might go see dh's mum I suppose, but I would rather not bother and order a takeaway!

giveovermypreciousss · 26/03/2019 10:36

Each year we walk around somewhere with lots of flowers and take pic, this year we are also going to see the lambs being born. Hoping to get a cuddle with a lamb too. It works out really cheap and means we can pop to the coffee shop for cake. Im really looking forward to it. I dont expect presents and cards but sure the kids will make me some.

Thinkofsomethingoriginal · 26/03/2019 11:15

I’m not the only mum in the family so it’s important not to be self-indulgent and remember it’s not all about me. I will share the day with going to spend some time with MIL in her care home.

happymummy12345 · 26/03/2019 11:37

Nothing much. Dh will be at work so I will be with ds at home.
It's also my birthday the day after Mother's Day, and our wedding anniversary the following Tuesday. So will combine all 3.
