Mine was along the line of 'WIBU to start moisturising my baby so she doesn't get wrinkles' ... I assume it was lighthearted Grin

It would have been something related to endometriosis because that's what I was Googling at the time. I came for the endometriosis and stayed for AIBU and the Litter Tray Grin.

justforthisnow · 23/03/2019 20:58

I came for the birth trauma PTSD and stayed for the swearing 😊

A woman posting about her husband had put Petrol on a bonfire resulting in serious burns to their little girl. I still think of that family

ScreamingValenta · 23/03/2019 21:05

AS under old username tells me the first thread I actually posted on was about whether it's BU to send out Christmas cards with a photo of your family on the front.

I read a very biased newspaper article about the nutters on MN wanting homebirths- had just POAS and homebirths were portrayed as dangerously wild. Googled it thinking WTF, got caught up in a few threads and stayed for the craic.

Ended up with a homebirth after all too!

It was a very long thread that was a woman experiencing very pad pain - she was diagnosed (correctly) by an MNer as having an ectopic pregnancy, even though to begin with she was adamant she wasn’t pregnant.

It showed what an extraordinary community MN is.

Baconislife · 23/03/2019 21:15

It was in Relationships
A poster named Ophelia Rose who had twins and her husband left her.

InsertFunnyUsername · 23/03/2019 21:16

I was pregnant and read a "what to expect at your booking in appointment" type thread. Something along them lines anyway.

My first thread i posted i got a sarcastic reply so i told that poster to fuck off, then got told off by mumsnet Blush

cliffdiver · 23/03/2019 21:16

@cliffdiver it’s BRILLIANT

granof3 · 23/03/2019 21:27

Well Penguins was the first one I can remember that was a bit of an on going saga.
I kept coming back to it for the latest instalment.
Originally I can remember looking for something or other on google and a link came to Mumsnet and the rest is history.
Doesn’t seem to matter what you google there always seems to be a link here.
If Mumsnet can’t give you an answer of some sort you are really going to be struggling.

It was one about a woman who had just gone back to work after maternity leave. She had a few days which she didn't have childcare for and couldn't get the time off work. Her husband was refusing to her involved with finding a solution.

First in a long list of threads about men refusing to take responsibility for parenting.

Autumnchill · 23/03/2019 21:43

It was either the neighbours who were 'stealing' the OPs cat and the old woman would lick him in her house or the one were the OP thought someone was living in the loft
