No

Bluntness100 · 21/03/2019 17:20

Why would you wish to? They would be disgusting.

Housewife2010 · 21/03/2019 17:21

You could, but they wouldn't be very nice.

A lady I used to work with freezes them and reheats them in the oven.

Hoppinggreen · 21/03/2019 17:23

Bluntness100 · 21/03/2019 17:26

Jesus, they are rank as it is once they have went cold and reheated never mind freeze them first.

I hate wasting food. I can imagine doing this if it was just for me...
Definitely oven though.

Fevertree · 21/03/2019 17:30

My husband reheated a whole pack in the oven last week. I was skeptical but they actually tasted fine.

Palominoo · 21/03/2019 17:33

Don't they crystallise inside?

I suppose if you deep fried them again they might be OK?

I can't see the point though, they're so cheap I'd just buy another bag.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 21/03/2019 17:35

Is Brexit hitting that hard that you think the chippers will run out of potatoes?

Motherofcreek · 21/03/2019 17:36

Divorce him immediately.

IHaveBrilloHair · 21/03/2019 17:36

I cant imagine they'd be very nice but you wont know if you don't try.

ListenLinda · 21/03/2019 17:37

You can but they would be pretty minging!

Tattybear16 · 21/03/2019 17:38

golddustwomen · 21/03/2019 17:47

Gross. Thread has made me fancy a chippy tea though..

Lardlizard · 21/03/2019 17:47

He’s laughing at these replies, apparently it’s because it’s to avoid waste and apparently if it’s good enough for Heston .....
Not quite sore that’s what Heston means by double or triple cooked chips

Apparently freezing them will remove the mositure then he’s going to fry them ...

I said for the sake of research I’ll try them

🤮

Bluntness100 · 21/03/2019 17:49

I'm fairly sure Heston doesn't do this

And then fry them, god, just tell him to buy another bag. Seriously.

ShadowMane · 21/03/2019 17:51

Double cooked is when you part fry them and then fry them again

Kind of roast potatoes should double cooked, once par boil and then in oven
