What are we all getting up to today?

I am going to be doing some quilting.

I have pieced my top together, today I need to layer my quilt (the back is going to be red), quilt it with red stitching as per my sketch on top of the picture and I have little rainbow buttons to add at the intersections.

What are we all getting up to today?

That looks lovely!

I'm about to fuel up on tea to wake myself up, then attempt a 5km run in the park (am I mad? Quite possibly).

Then I'm off to my parents' for the afternoon/evening to tell them about a trip I just got back from.

unicorncupcake · 17/03/2019 08:14

DH at work, I’m rehearsing from 10-6 for a show that I’m in charge of next week- 8 hours of working with teenagers-on my day off from the day job of, you guessed it, working with teenagers 🤦‍♀️🙈😂 there will be lots of sweets and laughing and it will be good fun, but I feel tired just thinking about it 😅

QueenMabby · 17/03/2019 08:25

Absolutely nothing!! Can’t wait! 😂
Last few and next few weekends are manically busy and so i’m Going to relish in the fact that I’ve nowhere to be until 5pm today. That and toad in the hole for lunch... 😍

Had a massively long day yesterday and would love nothing more than chilling out today... But we have DH's godson's birthday this morning and we reeeaaaallly cannot be arsed!

I also need to get cracking on starting a fidget quilt for my best friend's mum who has dementia, we'll see her at Easter.

Bluesheep8 · 17/03/2019 08:48

What is a fidget quilt please elquinto? I'm doing as little as possible today. Roast beef for lunch then ironing and catching up on Masterchef this afternoon.

SunnySomer · 17/03/2019 08:51

Work. To catch up on all that I haven’t managed to get done during the week. This wasn’t how going part-time was supposed to operate.

Propertybrothers · 17/03/2019 08:53

Flying back to where I live after a lovely weekend in the UK visiting ds3 at Uni.

Enjoyed spoiling him and meeting his friends.

Then home to pick up ds4 from his dads and make Sunday supper and push ds4 to do his homework.

bonzo77 · 17/03/2019 08:56

Sitting with DS2 waiting for surgery on his finger. Which was crushed and partially amputated in door that blew shut whilst he was “just touching it”.

EastMidsGPs · 17/03/2019 08:56

Lazy day, tonight we are off to see the Hairy Bikers in Nottingham (getting there and back will be a faff I am not looking forward to). Feel me about the whole thing but these tickets were gifted to us. Should be err interesting as neither of us has much interest in cookingGrin

cookiemonster3 · 17/03/2019 08:58

I'm doing a bit of laundry, making a lasagne for tea, possibly visiting the in laws if I can be arsed to leave the house and tonight it's ironing the school uniform.

I need to gut my bathroom. I had a manically busy week last week and the most the bathroom got was the sink and toilet wiped over a couple of times.

Need to clean my fish tank too and do my nails but might put those tasks off till tomorrow.

Decormad38 · 17/03/2019 08:59

The quilting is a lovely idea op.

Tea and breakfast. Fed the rabbits. Do some washing. Going to collect DD(19) from her student digs and take her for some lunch and treat her to some luxuries she cant afford like makeup. Looking forward to it.

boxlikeamarchhare · 17/03/2019 08:59

Busy day here. I have walked the dog, done a couple of loads of washing, have my favourite beef stew bubbling away on the hob. Need to make a cake, entertain family for lunch, we have a six mile walk planned ..... and I need to submit a 2500 word assignment that I haven't started yet before midnight. Lets hope I get it done!

SeaViewBliss · 17/03/2019 09:00

Lazy day. Yesterday was busy and late with far too much food. Today is sitting and salad!

lucysmam · 17/03/2019 09:01

Normal Sunday stuff here.

Washer's on for uniforms. I'll iron school shirts, bake with dd2 and we'll have a walk to Lidl for packed lunch stuff for the week. Neither of the girls has homework (again!) so a fairly slow day which is good.

I might try to work out a very cheap and quick way to make cheer pompoms with my Rainbows on Tuesday, to go with the activity we have planned. & maybe do a few other bits (or not!).

Dd1's off to McDonald's with her friends - first time she's been properly out without me!

ASauvignonADay · 17/03/2019 09:03

Currently drinking tea in bed then off to see family for the day.

Happytot · 17/03/2019 09:04

Just finishing breakfast then off for a quick run. Then it's off to the st Patrick's day parade, followed by a nice restaurant. Bank holiday tomorrow. So happy days!! Happy st Patrick's day!! ☘️☘️

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 17/03/2019 09:05

I had a shit day yesterday as it bucketed it down with rain all day and I had no one to see and nowhere to go and was climbing the walls at home.

Today I'm catching the train out of the city to do a bike ride as it's dry (so far) then Supermarket shop and seeing DP tonight.

EmrysAtticus · 17/03/2019 09:06

Lazy morning so far, just about to wave the ILs off as they have been visiting. Then local RSPB reserve walk followed by coffee and cake with DS. Bit of housework this afternoon while DS plays/watches Paw Patrol. Then roast followed by strudel for dinner :)

PlayingForKittens · 17/03/2019 09:07

I'm sitting in swimming lessons at the moment. Ds2 is in the pool, dd is in the next lesson so a while to go!

Then we will get the Sunday paper and I'll relax and read. I was at work yesterday and came out from a 12.5hr shift to a flat tyre so I deserve it.

Then later I have an appointment to donate blood.

Perch · 17/03/2019 09:08

I am sorting out the Lego 😭😭😭😭 again 🙄

Whatififall · 17/03/2019 09:08

Love the quilt OP.

I’m about to leave to take DD to the stables. I’m planning on hot coffee and reading while she does horsey stuff,

Then Aldi shop, iron school uniform and bath-time. I’ve treat myself to a garnier moisture bomb face mask so looking forward to using that.

Chocolatecake12 · 17/03/2019 09:14

I really really need to clean my house but really really can’t summon up the enthusiasm!
Got to go out at 9.30 to drop ds off at his club. Got to iron uniform.
Also got to read through the university prospectuses that ds bought home on Friday.
I might treat myself to a long hot bath later.

Downhillrider · 17/03/2019 09:25

Manning the most off my lay in the kids stayed at my mums last night.

Will more than likely go for a bike ride with the kids later once I've picked them up and the weather is looking good for today

MysweetAudrina · 17/03/2019 09:32

St Patrick's Day here today which means one thing - no work tomorrow. So we are going to avoid all the festivities and are bringing the younger kids glamping for the night and will call into my parents on the way back.

11 year old dd just brought myself and dh breakfast in bed, burnt sausages, cold egg, turned yogurt with fruit and granola and 2 cups if tea. The effort was there though l.

Bubba1234 · 17/03/2019 09:37

That quilt is beautiful I love the colors 😍
I’m on my second cup of tea just on social media.
I marinated the chicken last night so I put it in the oven this morning that’s dinner sorted.
I’m going to have a body shower now put a bit of tan on my legs and walk to church.
After that come home and eat and probably chill in bed for a few hours.
Then il either go for a run or do some cleaning in the kitchen.
The fridge needs to be cleaned out badly.
I have some work to do for my job but I can do that at ease in bed with a movie on.
Enjoy your weekend everyone Smile
