Having burgers and fries tonight for tea. (Aberdeen angus beefburgers) My perfect burger is this:

Slice of processed cheese
Sliced gherkins
Slice of tomato
Pink coloured burger sauce
Brioche bun spread with German mustard.
Accompanied by fries, salad, onion rings and coleslaw. This is a huge treat in our house! How do you like yours?

If it's a beefburger

A seeded bun
A decent beef burger
Mature cheddar cheese
Fried onions
Fried mushrooms
Crispy smoky bacon
Sweet bbq sauce

On the side I'd have homemade coleslaw(with red peppers in it)homemade onion rings and fresh cut chips.

If it was a chicken burger

A brioche bun lightly toasted
Buttermilk chicken burger
Camembert
Cranberry sauce(a chunky one)
Maple cooked smoky bacon
A thin layer of mayonnaise on the bottom bun
Romaine lettuce and a couple of thin slices of cucumber on the bottom bun.

Homemade seasoned chips and homemade coleslaw on the side.

Soft floury bun
Melted cheddar cheese
Caramelised onions
Sliver of mustard
Ketchup

Chunky chips or onion rings on the side

SagelyNodding · 16/03/2019 12:11

Politically incorrect but my favourite burger ever was:
Brioche bun, lightly toasted
Hand made beef burger, rare (and big)
Slice of foie gras/or pan-fried foie gras
Caramelised onion
Fig jam
Salt to balance out the sweetness.

But I do love a big mac...

This burger from Bunsen in Dublin was the best one ever - I would have loved some bacon on it and less lettuce but thinking of this burger makes me salivate BlushGrin

I love that you have a picture of your favourite burger! Grin

Love a burger!

Brioche Bun
Burger - medium
Thin layer of iceburg lettuce
Red onion
Slice mature cheddar
Ketchup & mayo

Tesco finest cheddar coleslaw on the side

ElspethFlashman · 16/03/2019 12:29

Oh god I'd forgotten about that tesco finest coleslaw. Amazing.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 16/03/2019 12:34

Tinsel that looks worth a trip to Dublin Grin

LBOCS2 · 16/03/2019 12:35

I love a kiwi burger, whereas the ingredients actually offend DH.

So my favourite includes:

Brioche bun
Beef patty (cooked medium)
Usual salady bits
Mayo
Ketchup
Grilled pineapple ring
Beetroot slices
Runny fried egg

It's amazing. The sweetness of the pineapple is delicious in it and the egg yolk creates an extra sauce element. Yum.

PoppingBubbles · 16/03/2019 12:37

Atalune The dirty fries sound amazing. I'm going to make those for dinner tonight.

TinselAndKnickers · 16/03/2019 12:56

Enthusiasm It definitely is worth it. £15 return Ryanair flights, can't go wrong Grin

Mimi I had to! Grin I'm going back in summer as I miss it that much

canberramum · 16/03/2019 13:01

@LBOCS2 now that is almost the perfect burger. Add some avocado and I'm in heaven!

GiveMeFiveMinutes · 16/03/2019 13:42

Toasted brioche bun
Romaine lettuce
Aberdeen Angus burger
Tomato
Red onion
Burger relish

🍔

CakeNinja · 16/03/2019 14:01

Not a big burger fan but dp makes the most amazing burgers using a variety of meat that he minces himself with loads of tasty stuff!
Then he makes a burger ‘bark’ of mustard to coat it when cooking.
I would have it in a brioche bun (but not too sweet), with rocket, caramelised onions, chilli jam and mozzarella. No cheese or bacon, mayo etc.

SospanFrangipan · 16/03/2019 15:32

Juicy steak burger, medium.
Brioche bun
Grilled halloumi
Garlic mayo
Ketchup

Orrrrr MAC & Cheese instead of halloumi.

I'm now off to Tesco to buy burgers for dinner!

pinegreen · 16/03/2019 15:57

LBOCS2 that is indeed the perfect burger - it’s called a Works burger in Australia. I would insist on a seeded hamburger roll though, none of this sweet bread stuff for me.

We get my in-laws and anyone else travelling to the U.K. to bring us tins of Edgells/Golden Circle beetroot. It’s hard to get the right beetroot in the U.K.

pinegreen · 16/03/2019 15:58

Actually, the bun insides need to be toasted slightly on the BBQ as the patties are cooking as well for the perfect burger.

JaneEyre07 · 16/03/2019 16:00

Best veggie burger I have ever had was in NY from Shake Shack. It was mushroom with a crispy outside, with a melting cheese centre in a Brioche bun with lettuce, pickle and mayo. Plate full of heartache but soooooo good especially after a long flight.

vampirethriller · 16/03/2019 20:52

If it's a beef burger then it needs cheese and a fried egg or cheese and pineapple.
Chicken burger, it needs sweet chilli sauce and onion rings in the actual burger.

maddiemookins16mum · 16/03/2019 21:05

6oz beef burgers from our butcher, on brioche buns (lightly toasted), bbq sauce, bacon and cheese.

Figmentofimagination · 17/03/2019 08:18

My absolute favourite burger was a burger at Frank and Lola Love Pensacola restaurant in the Margaritaville hotel in Pensacola Florida. I only had it once but it was the best burger ever. I actually had cravings for it when I was pregnant. I usually don't like salad on my burger but this was heaven. It was so juicy.

I could just eat one or five of them 🤤

PoppingBubbles · 17/03/2019 10:27

@Atalune I made the dirty fries last night, and DH even went out for me (he doesn't like blue cheese) to get McCain fries and Franks sauce. I made a blue cheese dip.

They were amazing, and I bow down to you, oh genius one also will stalk your history for any other recipes you may have posted

Atalune · 18/03/2019 06:14

popping yay! I’m so glad! They are bloody brilliant. Grin
