I googled about how to get grubby marks off white shower trays and the first result was an mn thread (of course) from 2012*which recommended a particular product. Tomorrow I am going to buy and use it. I can't wait to see how white my shower tray will be :o

You need to get out more!

(I'm guessing it's Arm and Hammer bicarb toothpaste...)

StealthPolarBear · 15/03/2019 19:44

Erm no but I'm adding that to my list now!
I do need to get out more. Still doesn't dampen the excitement though :)

Haha reminds me of the time DH gave the ovens a proper clean and they were gleaming. I was really chuffed and he said he hadn't seen me smiling like that for a long time (sad lol). I do love a clean house Smile So what was the name of the product might have to give it a go myself.

Would you like to do mine too? You'd enjoy it! Grin

StealthPolarBear · 15/03/2019 19:52

If it works I will clean you with it if you stand still long enough :)

Astonish mould and mildew remover is bloody amazing.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 15/03/2019 19:59

HG mould spray is even better than astonish. Get a magic eraser to use with the oven/job cleaner it lifts the shower try just using a bit of Cif cream. I used to be really annoyed by mine, cif, magic eraser, Glass cleaner on the Glas and HG. Spray andnot was like new again.

Fluffyears · 15/03/2019 21:07

Savers have that paste I picked it up today but put it back as I have a stainless steel hob and it says it’s not suitable.

MayFayner · 15/03/2019 21:10
  • 1 for the Magic eraser Also the HG mould stuff.
StealthPolarBear · 15/03/2019 23:13

I have a magic eraser it's been crap so far. Definitely worth a try. Wet or dry?

I've discovered method daily shower spray. Just spray after your shower and leave, it keeps the shower clean. All do when it comes to weekly bathroom cleaning now is squirt bleach in the corners and all over the tray and rinse it through which takes me all of 90 seconds. The daily shower spray takes care of the tiles and screen.

Magic eraser is working!! It's a bit heavy work but it's definitely taking the grime off. Wow. I've used then before for n other things and thought they were crap

I think they’re amazing. I do the walls with them all the time.

MayFayner · 15/03/2019 23:37

Well... not all the time, that’s a slight exaggeration Blush

I do the walls before having new people over for the first time, let’s put it that way 😂

StealthPolarBear · 16/03/2019 06:36

Do I need to do the walls? What exactly are you doing to them

Footsall · 16/03/2019 07:04

I use that paste on my oven glass door. It gleams.

Footsall · 16/03/2019 07:06

Seriously though the best thing that you could use on your shower tray and glass doors if you have them is good old fashioned fairy washing up liquid. It gets rid of all the grease and grime.

StealthPolarBear · 16/03/2019 08:14

That is what I use to clean thw bathroom. No matter how hard I scrub the grubby marks don't come off

Grin The DSs are 3 and 4...
Did you ever watch Father Ted? You know the bit of wall behind Father Jack’s head? Well my entire kitchen wall is that.
