I googled about how to get grubby marks off white shower trays and the first result was an mn thread (of course) from 2012*which recommended a particular product. Tomorrow I am going to buy and use it. I can't wait to see how white my shower tray will be :o

Oh so just grubby marks? Dim lighting helps

Got the spray version of that and it’s really good.

StealthPolarBear · 16/03/2019 12:12

The eraasrr worked much better than I hoped b it needed a lot of scrubbing and I was nervous of scrubbing too hard up to the sealant. So I might try the other stuff too.

Astonish Paste is bloody fabulous, very reasonable (as is their whole range) and (vitally important to me) has the Leaping Bunny Sign.

Only gripe is it dries out so I put it in a sealed tupperware . The tub is now half the size it used to be (but it still is good value) They used to do it in a tube but no longer .

I used the Pink Stuff to compare . Not a patch .

I like the Toilet tablets, the Stain remover pre-spray, the tablets for deep fat fryer , the kitchen spray (lemony Grin ) All good

The mould/mildew is really strong smelling , DD always asks why the bathroom smells like a swimming pool

Detergent ok, 3-in-1 liquid .
Dishwasher tablets if I can get the original, not lemon (I don't like lemon dishes)

I use a pot scrubber - turned to that in desperation and it worked. Shower tray is nearly 20 years old. It gets a grey soap deposit on it which normal bath cleaners don't touch. Now I use the metal potscrubber and jif - stainless steel tangled curly one, don't use my full strength but even pressing quite hard has not damaged the tray, but has removed the grime.

Astonish mould and mildew remover is bloody amazing.

I discovered it this week. Brilliant.

Also love Pink stuff for UPVC.

sluj · 16/03/2019 12:43

Would any of these things work on a stone effect Matt white tray? I am nervous of putting anything on it at all Grin

WhatNow40 · 16/03/2019 12:44

This is really easy and works every time.

Get strong kitchen roll and cover in thick bleach, then lay out along the shower tray to cover it. Roll up kitchen roll in to little sausages and poke them on to the silicon around the edge, again soaked in bleach. Leave for about 6 hours then remove and rinse. It's sparkles!

Make sure you use gloves when handling bleach and leave a window open. Grin

I probably need to buy some astonish and mould stuff.

missmouse101 · 16/03/2019 12:58

Cif cream is always my favourite!

AnneOfCleanTables · 16/03/2019 13:02

Ooh, can we see an after pic?

WhereDoesThisToiletGo · 16/03/2019 14:38

I'm such a sheep.
Standing in the queue at Dunelm and spotted a tub of this and bought it.
What should I clean first?

chunn65 · 16/03/2019 14:51

If its a plastic one try from home bargain the baking soda powder and white vinegar(snowdrops) spray the white vinegar liberally then the baking soda and leave for a least an hour. Then go in with a light plastic scourer and it will surprise you how clean it will come up. Just did my fils ( he passed away) it gleamed. the glass however would be cloudy so good old glass cleaner works on that. good luck

QuirkyQuark · 16/03/2019 15:07

I love Astonish products, you use far less because they're so good. The oven paste cleaner is the dogs bollocks on oven glass, I was so sad that I took pictures after I'd used it and sent them to people in excitement Grin

FredaFox · 17/03/2019 00:10

Which product do you recommend for the bath? I want mine to sparkle! I'm loving this post

Fluffyears · 17/03/2019 00:21

Astonish mould and mildew is nothing compared to HG mould spray.

jalopy · 17/03/2019 06:42

HG Limescale remover is fantastic. The hard core one that comes with a screw top, not spray head.
Just dab some on a cloth and it cleans taps and metals beautifully.
For more stubborn build ups of limescale, I soak a wet wipe in the solution and leave for a while. Great on shower heads, etc.
For those that live in hard water areas, this is the holy grail of cleaners.

Sparklingbrook · 17/03/2019 07:38

I didn't rate the HG mould spray, and had better results with the Astonish stuff.

StealthPolarBear · 17/03/2019 07:46

After, and this is only an interim as I'd like to give it another going over. Probably with the astonish stuff

I am excited about cleaning the shower tray

TapasForTwo · 17/03/2019 07:49

I really rate Bar Keepers Friend. It is amazing.
