'all the things...'

Stop speaking like a moron

MelGtn7 · 24/03/2019 15:25

'Outsourcing' the ironing / cleaning /dog walking etc

Angry
HopefullyNameChanged · 24/03/2019 15:26

"Are you on glue?" I hate it. It's never funny.

And a friend of mine is trigger happy with the hashtags and it gives me headache #singlemama #longhairdontcare #family #lovemyfam #singlemummylife #happy #bliss #rockchickmama

At the end of every single post Angry

#Fuck #Off.

Albadross · 24/03/2019 16:01

I think the hashtag thing is because of auto-sharing from Instagram.

I also hate 'I was stood/sat'. I know professional journalists/writers who use it in their work.

I've been indoctrinated into starting every sentence in a work setting without saying 'so', I want to punch myself every time I do it!

Magmatic80 · 24/03/2019 16:05

‘I’m not being funny, but...

Well no, but I expect you’re about to be bitchy.

woollyheart · 25/03/2019 10:25

I don't mind 'passed away' so much. But just 'passed' causes a tweak of irritation.

MumUnderTheMoon · 25/03/2019 15:41

"Triggered" it's overused and usually by people behaving poorly to excuse their piss poor behaviour. When used appropriately fair enough but it's like a lot of mental health terms. "I was having a total panic attack" and the often used and aforementioned "I'm so OCD"

Sammiches101 · 25/03/2019 16:27

Not a phrase, but obviously and literally being used in the wrong context Angry
"Blue sky thinking"
"it is what it is"
"Reach(ing) out"
"This too shall pass"
All these, and "obviously" probably many more "literally" set my teeth on edge

Ronsters · 25/03/2019 16:56

Ta muchly, my boss says this. She's a nice woman but this drives me mad.

Also people that do fake crying including pretending to wipe away tears when describing a sad film or something.

Elderflower14 · 25/03/2019 16:56

"Need gone...". HmmHmmHmmHmm

Bhappy12 · 25/03/2019 17:00

"Absolutely fumin"
and "literally" when they mean figuratively.

Sammiches101 · 27/03/2019 20:30

On Facebook when someone asks for recommendations etc and the post end TIA. Don't know why, but urgh

HeronLanyon · 27/03/2019 20:38

‘Meh’ - smug and dismissive. Loathe it.

Runoutofgas · 27/03/2019 20:49

'You're welks' instead of 'you're welcome'.

Gives me the rage!

Ohyesiam · 27/03/2019 20:51

Yes draws instead of drawers. So many people don’t know the difference.
I know the difference , but they sound exactly the same, so how do you know they don’t know?Grin

Rathkelter · 27/03/2019 20:57

Hun. As in 'Don't worry, hun', not Atilla the Hun. It's the inoffensive term of endearment, honey, completely chav-sploited.[my new made-up word will probably annoy you all too...] And people who use it would never call me honey...😂

RunSweatLaughAndLatte · 27/03/2019 21:21

"With all due respect" followed by something that demonstrates a distinct lack of respect

RunSweatLaughAndLatte · 27/03/2019 21:22

Oh and "Bae"

Bokky · 27/03/2019 21:28

"I myself"

Cherrysherbet · 27/03/2019 21:33

‘Super’ before everything. Super easy, super smart, super excited ....it’s all ‘super ‘ fucking annoying.

VanillaBlossom · 27/03/2019 23:24

'my bad'....👊

Biffsboys · 27/03/2019 23:29

Think outside the box 😡😡🤬

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 27/03/2019 23:33

Everything already said

Gawjus is one of the worst though, used by twats

beanaseireann · 28/03/2019 19:46
