Thoughts? I personally wouldn't have even noticed what she was wearing, she looks nice and it's not like she's parading round in a thong and nipple tassels!

EstrellaDamn · 13/03/2019 21:18

No, those are the right places Grin

LadyOfTheFlowers · 13/03/2019 21:18

It's underwear.
It looks a bit too small tbh.
Put a top on.
Stop looking for attention.
Hope you enjoy your free flight for next year you no doubt got out of this.
Yawn.

I was expecting much worse, however if you look at it in the Metro online it shows an extra picture from a side view, it definitely looks more like a bra than just the straight on pic.

The seats are tiny. I think a fellow passenger could very well feel uncomfortable sitting in such close proximity with so much bare flesh.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 13/03/2019 21:24

That metro picture literally shows nothing that the men in my (posted?!) picture aren't showing. Yup, no difference.

Oh FFS now it won't go away. Sorry folks.

Lockheart · 13/03/2019 21:26

But those men aren't on a plane are they @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz

It looks like they're on a night out. In which case the clothing is appropriate. If the woman in question was on a night out instead of on a plane there'd be no problem.

ForalltheSaints · 13/03/2019 21:26

The way it was tackled and the inconsistency is the issue here, in my view. If there were men with vests on only on top, they should be asked to cover up as well. It should also have been done as discreetly as possible.

S1naidSucks · 13/03/2019 21:31

I’d be more grossed out by a man in a muscle shirt sitting next to me, tbh. Big naked hairy arms brushing against me. shudder

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 13/03/2019 21:39

Lockheart I see young men dressed like this on flights every summer

groundcontroltomontydon · 13/03/2019 21:39

Meh. Positively frumpy by Ryanair standards.

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 13/03/2019 21:41

And actually with some men dressed like this it's worse if we're talking about personal space as they're often v muscly whereas the young lady looked tiny

Longdistance · 13/03/2019 21:42

When I was cabin crew coughes many moons ago, my boss spotted a guy with a T-shirt on that had the word fuck on it. He told him to change it or cover up. He obliged, didn’t go to the press.

Btw, that is a bra. For goodness sake, I wish people dressed properly and not for attention like half naked ‘look at meeeeeeee!!!!!!’

Lockheart · 13/03/2019 21:44

Well if they're wearing that on a plane @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz then they should definitely be asked to cover up!

HotpotLawyer · 13/03/2019 21:51

Oh fgs, no one wants to be squashed up against someone in their underwear.

Men or women.

More of this dress code, please, Ryan Air!

And poor woman was so traumatised she deliberately wore the same outfit on the way home! Nice pics, all over the media.

Pieceofpurplesky · 13/03/2019 22:25

She had a jacket but a friend was wearing it according to Twitter and she refused to put it on. At one point she asked the rest of the passengers if she looked ok and nobody answered, she asked again and the man shouted at her to shut up.

These from someone else on the plane. It sounds like all she had to do was put on her jacket. I would have been pissed off too regardless of what she was wearing.

qazxc · 13/03/2019 22:36

To me it does look skimpy/revealing and not appropriate for air travel, more like something that you would wear beside a pool or beach.
Reading her twitter, it looks like she was told to cover up by greeting staff. She ignored this and went to her seat, then was confronted again by staff who said she'd have to be taken off flight if she didn't cover up. She then stood up and started asking passengers whether she offended them, at which point a bloke shouted "Shut up you pathetic woman, put a fucking jacket on". Her cousin then gave her a jacket to put on.
Whilst I agree that the bloke shouldn't have sworn at her, he was probably saying what a lot of people were thinking. I know I would have been thinking along the same lines if she had been holding up my flight by acting like a drama queen instead of just popping a jacket on when first asked.
She can't have been that traumatised as she wore the exact same outfit on the way back.

Doobigetta · 13/03/2019 22:44

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’d prefer the person sitting next to me on a plane to be properly dressed. I don’t want a stranger’s bare flesh spilling onto me, thank you. And even more the case if the stranger is male.

reallemonade · 13/03/2019 22:45

Looking at the photos of her on metro it's an inappropriate top to wear. There's just a strap at the side and back, a lot of exposed skin and if she's sweaty on the plane that's a,bit grim for her fellow passengers or next user of her seat.

Nothing wrong with wearing a proper top for a flight, male or female

BadLad · 13/03/2019 22:51

This would never happen in first class (clutches pearls)

Mum2OneTeen · 13/03/2019 22:53

Interesting advertising product placement on that Sky article.

(PS another here who agrees she was just drawing attention to herself)

Bare arm skin, too has no back, pressed against someone scantily dressed, unhygienic...

What a lot of crap.

Lots of people wear sleeveless tops on a flight. The fact that the band of middle/back was exposed is neither here nor there. It’s not going to be pressing against anyone else unless they’re encroaching on her seat.

...and anyone that thinks her back touching an airline seat is going to make it unhygienic would never fly again if they knew what you’d find in the fabric of airline seats and should stop travelling on busses and trains.

It adequately covered her boobs, it looked nice with her trousers.

...and frankly, if I had her figure I’d wear that on a plane because I’m always too hot. But I don’t have her figure, so I don’t. I just threaten to strip to it if they can’t sort the air con out - it normally gets sorted sharpish then 🤣

IncrediblySadToo · 13/03/2019 23:02

I don’t want a stranger’s bare flesh spilling onto me, thank you

Have you actually seen the photo? What part of her do you think would be ‘spilling’ anywhere?
🙄🤣
