Is that what the MPs are planning?.... Just to vote against any possible plan just to get to the point were they vote for a no deal?

Are they going to vote for no deal tomorrow?!

ERG and DUP don't want a deal.

PetuniaPetunia · 12/03/2019 19:54

No I think they want no-Brexit.

ScafellPoke · 12/03/2019 19:54

I guess that’s what’s going to happen tomorrow then

I mean, all along they’ve all said no deal wasn’t an option.

I literally have no idea what they want. At least anything in the sphere on what’s actually possible.

ScafellPoke · 12/03/2019 19:57

In fact, this has just come up on BBC news, so maybe there’s hope yet that they won’t vote for no deal

Do you think they voted against because they WANT a no deal?

Grr

Do you think they voted against because they WANT a no deal?

I bloody hope not.

I strongly believe we need to pause this, it's a mess for everyone. Leaders want to go because they won rather than because of any conceivable benefit of leaving, generally; and we were not and are not prepared for the nightmare that will entail.

Parliament and everyone involved in the initial referendum and everything since should hang their heads in shame at the fuck up that they've made of EVERYTHING.

ScafellPoke · 12/03/2019 20:00

Me too anchor I had a slight panic straight after the result thinking they all secretly want a no deal!!
Think straight now!!
I do actually feel sorry for TM, she’s cleaning up someone elses mess

The 75 conservatives who voted against tonight probably do want no deal. But very few others do. Thankfully.

HazardGhost · 12/03/2019 20:02

The withdrawal agreement was so shite softer leavers hated it, brexiteers hated it, remainers just didnt want it and compromisers couldn't compromise on it.

nrpmum · 12/03/2019 20:02

They want no Brexit I suspect.

missyB1 · 12/03/2019 20:02

No I think they are just trying to stop the whole thing.

TheWomanin12B · 12/03/2019 20:04

Do not feel sorry for Theresa May, this mess is entirely of her own making.

OddBoots · 12/03/2019 20:05

It will be a mix I imagine, some want no deal, some want no Brexit or A People's Vote.

ScafellPoke · 12/03/2019 20:07

I hope so nrp and missy

thewoman yeah maybe I felt sorry for her at first but she’s made a mess since then!

I’m so embarrassed of what the history books will make of this shite.
We are a joke.
Bin off the whole thing and let’s concentrate on sorting out knife crime and getting our schools back on track.
Oh and dissolve the bloody government who are not fit for purpose. Idiots.

Quartz2208 · 12/03/2019 20:10

Corbyn has already said for Labour to vote down no deal and May has said its a free vote

ScafellPoke · 12/03/2019 20:19

What does you mean qartz? vote down?.... Is that for or against?

OP posts:
ScafellPoke · 12/03/2019 20:19

Yes lead

Quartz2208 · 12/03/2019 20:23

To block no deal so labour mps should vote to take it off the table (that is what the whips will get them to do)

The 330 Tory MPs have no set instructions no whips to get them to vote a particular way so they can vote how they want

safariboot · 12/03/2019 20:37

I think a portion of MPs do want no deal, and they have a strong position - all they need to do is vote down and sabotage anything else.

We shall see just how many tomorrow. Or at least, how many are prepared to admit they want no deal.

MIdgebabe · 12/03/2019 20:41

I think many want to be forced into no deal so they can say they did their best but the eu was just too mean and evil, so any post brexit mess can be blamed on the eu

Somerville · 12/03/2019 20:47

The right wing of the Tories want a no deal. So that we can become a bigger Singapore (low tax... the rich get richer and the poor are ignored) and USA lackey.
The DUP want no deal because it will result in the Good Friday Agreement being torn up, and they’ve always hated it.
Can sensible politicians from all parties join together to stop them?
Only time (and there isn’t much of it) will tell.
