Day two of maternity leave and I'm already bored stiff. Any recommendations of what to watch?

Grin only started it today and will finish it later.

WhatNow40 · 12/03/2019 19:28

Agree with Afterlife. It was dark and emotional.

I feel like I've watched 'everything' now and am desperate for something new.

If you haven't watched Greys Anatomy then I'd recommend that, it's great for not having to think much and lots of episodes.

For really trashy tv, but lighthearted entertainment is always Dynasty

Dark is pretty decent show so I'd suggest that.

Am I the only one that thinks there's f all on Netflix? I ended the subscription and went over to prime for now, it's got the office us on there which is keeping me busy! My baby is 3 months, when she's sleeping and I've done the chores I get really bored.... I feel your pain OP.

ML you say? Is The Letdown on british netflix?

WaxOnFeckOff · 12/03/2019 19:49

chloe The problem with Netflix is that it tries to tailor your page and recommendations based on what you've watched before, then you end up in ever decreasing circles of the same stuff. What you need is a few recommendations from other people that then opens up a whole new vista on your page and you see more stuff. I find Prime quite hard to find stuff on too.

Modern family

Outlander is fab - four series so far with more planned. The series is based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon.
Combat nurse from WW2 returns home and struggles to reconnect with her husband - they go on holiday to Scottish Highlands and whilst visiting an old stone circle alone she accidently gets sent back to Scottish highlands in the 1750s.
Meets hunky highlander and story goes from there - lots of historical facts woven into story, it includes nudity & sex, battle scenes & violence, love & romance.

endofacentury · 12/03/2019 19:50

I just watched The Story of Us with Morgan freeman, really enjoyed it.
Also dirty John is great.
I also watch a lot of prison documentaries and Louis Theroux
