Stayed in a hotel up north last night, had a shower went to bed, while showing this morning I saw this in the light fitting above me, so glad I didn't see it last night as I would of slept in the car.
What the actual fuck is it? You will need to zoom in to see the pod type things

I have ordered something similar looking for my new bathrooms; it's an extractor fan with a light in the middle.
Or, at least, it might be!

Samind · 12/03/2019 09:59

No idea. Wonder if it's living....

BarbaraofSevillle · 12/03/2019 10:08

It's the eggs of the Lesser Spotted Northern Crawling Things.

They're usually harmless unless they come across anyone who uses the words provincial, oop north or describes London as having a 'buzz' or 'an energy' that is quite unlike anywhere else.

They then enter their victims via their nostrels and eat their brains from the inside. Smile. But I'm sure you'll be safe OP Wink.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 12/03/2019 10:11

Is it some sort of mould?

BlueCornishPixie · 12/03/2019 10:12

Oh my god OP. Just be glad it's not in your house. It looks alien Grin

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 12/03/2019 10:19

Melted, burnt, bubbled plastic?

It looks hideous and unsafe.

BiscuitDrama · 12/03/2019 10:21

It does look like the light has melted. What happens if you turn the light on?

BiscuitDrama · 12/03/2019 10:22

Maybe only try that once you’ve packed and your suitcase is by the door.

6demandingchildren · 12/03/2019 10:40

Trust me once I spotted it I didn't have time to wash the soap off and I was dressed and packed in 5 minutes.
I'm just in a cafe waiting until it's time to go off

brizzlemint · 12/03/2019 11:10

6demandingchildren · 12/03/2019 19:28

6demandingchildren · 12/03/2019 19:33

Looks like expanding foam that has melted because of the heat of the lamp...or I hope it's just that...

ThatLibraryMiss · 12/03/2019 19:39

From the look of the inner ring of white plastic the whole thing's got much too hot. I'd guessing that the weird blobs in the bulb itself were caused by that.
