Well, I say real life, I mean in person.

I'll start Grin

Eat excessive amounts of food without considering the calories

Let their DC off school for holidays

Wear leggings or Uggs

Let their children play 18+ games in Year 6/7

Have kids.
Mystifies me why anyone would want to do such a thing 🤣

HaventGotAllDay · 10/03/2019 22:15

When dd gets told off at school I shrug and say "lesson learned then" rather than going Mamzilla and threatening bodily harm to teachers.

I've also told her she can choose what university to go to herself.

We eat chips a couple of times a week.

Old people are just old people not evil forces who "look at" children malevolently.

Most people I know (even in chain restaurants at family friendly hours) make their kids behave rather than let them run riot then get humphy and start s thread when the (invariably old) man on the next table tells them his evening has been ruined.

I don't feel the need to wear frumpo Saltwater sandals. I have nothing made by Hush.

louderthan · 10/03/2019 22:18

I love bleach
But conversely I only change my bedsheets about once a month
I can't stomach the thought of a mooncup

'Eat cold mushy peas'

That's not a Mumsnet one is it?! Surely loads of people aren't eating cold mushy peas?

Using excessive bleach and cleaning products is bad for the environment isn't it? The real environment not just the Mumsnet one. I agree that most people I know in RL do use loads though! They probably shouldn't.

zunshine · 10/03/2019 22:22

I don't fall out with friends or family as much as people seem to on here

user1493413286 · 10/03/2019 22:22

Have no money left at the end of the month (let alone a nice 1k cushion each month)
Wash my towels and sheets when I remember rather than a strict daily or weekly routine

Sparklingbrook · 10/03/2019 22:24

YY to the mooncup. Every thread asking about the best tampons/towels some Mooncup evangelist arrives and tries to convert the OP. Grin

I won't be using one thanks.

MidwifeyForLifey · 10/03/2019 22:24

My sheets are changed weekly, and every few days during the Summer. I have a smelly husband. He is very clean but sweats a lot.

However, I can't really pretend to be Little Miss Spring Clean. I use to sleep with hangers in my bed Blush my mum use to go mad, wondering how I could possibly sleep with so much shit

Another one that’s maybe an internet one

  • no one on other social media (WhatsApp/Facebook) has ever corrected my grammar or spelling during lighthearted conversation - maybe because I know these people IRL.
nellyitsme · 10/03/2019 22:32

Talk to the neighbours
Talk to anyone as they're a potential pervert paedophile or a homeless person god forbid

VittysCardigan · 10/03/2019 22:35

Midwifey Sausage and egg mcmuffin every time. Especially good when hungover from all the drinking whilst in charge of my kids GrinGrin

SemperIdem · 10/03/2019 22:39

Tan leather sofa’s. Hated on MN, but fairly popular in real life. I like them personally.

Re MN’ers not drinking - AIBU any night of the week after 8pm stands as solid evidence that they really, really do drink. Quite a lot.

Reaa · 10/03/2019 22:44

Make a roast chicken last for a weeks worth of meals we don't even get any leftovers

helzapoppin2 · 10/03/2019 22:45

Wear bra band 4” bigger than underbust measurement because, oh, I like being able to breathe.

SpeedyBojangles · 10/03/2019 22:47

Go out without my children and not feel guilty

AuntVanya · 10/03/2019 22:53

gossip

MissChananderlerbong · 10/03/2019 22:55

I went on holiday without my child
I voted leave (as did a fair few of my friends)
I went to a grammar school and want to send my kids to one
I believe in God
I love McDonald's and drinking (although have given up both for lent 😭)

SquigglySquaw · 10/03/2019 22:59

What the hell is wrong with a bathroom bin?! I'm totally baffled. I also have toilet brushes..

Dragonbait · 10/03/2019 23:03

Go on foreign location hen weekends.

Flush tampons down the loo (not sure how to not do this and not have a bathroom bin....)

Sparklingbrook · 10/03/2019 23:04

I hope that flushing tampons isn't popular in RL. Sad

MidwifeyForLifey · 10/03/2019 23:06

Vitty No way! A breakfast wrap is where it's at 😍

babyno5 · 10/03/2019 23:11

Oh fuck I really want a steak bake right now!! 😍

VittysCardigan · 10/03/2019 23:13

Midwifey YABVVVVVU Grin

PiebaldHamster · 10/03/2019 23:18

Drink alcohol. Don't count calories or sugar or salt, just use common sense. Monitor what other people eat (or care). Occasionally smoke whilst on a night out (drinking with friends or even my SIL). Let my teen and pre-teen have screens. Don't bother with climate change protests or marches of any sort. Love bleach, I haven't scrubbed a toilet in years, I just sozzle bleach down and around. I love McDonald's and Greggs and not the vegan stuff. When my kids were little they weren't in bed at 7.

babyno5 · 10/03/2019 23:18

@Ellapaella don't you know MN uniform? Stripey tip from joules/Boden/fatface/ whitestuff worn with oddly cut but not too skinny jeans. 😂
