I'm off up to do the ironing; what are you up to?

I've been to Lidl with dd1 for her school cooking ingredients, and things for my Rainbows & Guides.

Washing's done. House is reasonably tidy.

So, I'm going to finish my coffee then head upstairs to iron uniforms while dd1 has lunch then revises her Spanish for a test this week.

After that we'll get out ingredients to try out a recipe for baked doughnuts & wait im patiently for dd2 to get home for a sleepover at Nanna's so we can bake them together.

What are you all up to?

I’ve been cleaning the house, just been sitting down with a cuppa before tackling the living room.

The DCs and exDH will be back in a few hours and I’ll need to do a top-up shop before that, then we’ll all have dinner together.

Hopefully a bit more relaxing in there as well!

Teen son at girfriends.

DH playing computer games.

I am in bed on MN and drinking fresh coffee delivered by DH.

Most importantly I am waiting for the ironing lady to bring the ironing back.

The second time I ironed for DH he told me he liked starch on his shirts, I promptly went out and got an ironing lady and I haven't ironed for over thirty years. Grin

Had my run with ddog 1, walked ddog2, changed the bedding, put washing and tumbler on, cooking lunch and having a bath now before in laws get here and I try and get clean, dry clothes away before stepson goes home. House is a horrible dusty mess which is giving me anxiety but the bathroom is being completely remodelled and the boiler changed. Be very glad when it's next weekend because the bathroom should be 85% done and I'll be able to clean.

Lie in this morning till 8!

Then breakfast and off to Sainsbury's. Just back and DTs still asleep in their carseats whilst 4yo DD1 gets some Daddy time chatting to DH and I am MNing with a coffee.

Lunch and playtime in a bit, then back off out to get DD1 a new "big girl" carseat that is not rear-facing! End of an era.

Then meatballs for dinner and the joys of putting 3 under 5 to bed Grin

Trying to decide whether to go out for lunch and to the pub afterwards or stay in and get some work done.

Rain vs comfy home.
Not cooking/few drinks vs work.

Washing up and tidying kitchen to be done - but I currently have a dog asleep on my lap and I haven't the heart to disturb him as he hasn't been very well.
I also want to plant some seeds - but again, depends on dog Grin

I only iron uniforms! I claim a TV and watch various music on utube!! Bliss! Not a chore at all!!
Dc don't share my taste so completely leave me alone!!

I've taken dogs out.

Had a light lunch of a sandwich and have sat down to snuggle with dogs and crochet.

I've frogged 30 rows and am restarting an Afghan with a different stitch., Camel stitch.

Dd1's uniform is now ironed...2's is back in the washer to get rid of the tissue bits that their dad must have not seen yesterday Hmm. Looks like I'll be doing those later then!

DS and DH are napping. DD is playing on the tablet. I am dicking around on my phone. I am tired. I need to hang a wash and put another load on. Can't be arsed.

DH and DC have gone out with MIL, I've just got back from a run.

Currently sitting in a windy park wondering when we can go home but the boys are happy esp as ds1has met someone from school. This morning I awoke to h informing me the fence is down then made biscuits and did a washing. Roast chicken for dinner. Ironing tonight in front of tv after the boys are in bed.

I have made a big pan of pea soup (for dinner tomorrow evening and rest will be frozen for lunches)
I am now doing laundry, packing my suitcase for school trip next week (am a SEN TA) and baking a lemon drizzle for later this afternoon.

Must really go and walk the dogs but it keeps hailing here and whimpety lurchers are not fond of wet and cold stuff falling from the sky...

Dh has been to the shops and will be cooking a katsu curry for dinner later. He is currently polishing the vintage 1930s shove ha penny board he has treated himself to.

Dd is revising for GCSE mocks next week.
Ds is at his weekend-job.

It's quite peaceful :)

Does any one else struggle with Sundays, especially if they are on their own with young DC? And especially when it’s raining?

I can’t take them swimming due to adult:child ratios, I refuse to go to soft play as it’s grim and we have no local family to visit.

Anyone got any inspirational ideas?

Waiting for the uniforms to dry in the dryer before ironing them.
Could have put them on line, but then I'd have to go info on the neighbours doors to retrieve them.....is a bit windy!!

Been to aldi already, after ironing I might have a nap Wink

I've literally done nothing. Got up, made breakfast and been on the sofa watching the mentalist and brushing my cat. Will do some housework soon and I am volunteering this evening at childline.

Have made pancakes for breakfast, cleaned the house, made roast chicken for lunch and painted a bedroom. Am now sat watching power rangers with the dc. We have eaten 2 packs of biscuits between us. Its been a productive day!

Weather is grim here.

Got up early and read my book for a few hours. I have been to the climbing wall for a bit and was hoping it might dry up so I could get some fresh air but it's currently hailing and stormy.

Playing with the rats. We have new ones who are not used to being handled so I'm sitting next to the cage with one hand in, talking to them.

The weather's been really up and down here. This morning I made breakfast for me and toddler DS and we played duplo and watched a film and in a break between the rain we've been up to the zoo for a walk and some fresh air. It didn't last long though as DS didn't like the wind so we're back home watching the same film again Hmm
DH is due home from a training weekend at some unknown time (good old British Army) so in a bit we're heading to the shops to top up on a few bits before he gets back.
