We collect our new family member next week and are not sure on names - he is a male golden labrador. Any one any suggestions?

I did like custard cream but DP says he is not taking the dog to the park and shouting "custard cream" Blush

Gus
Then you could secretly call him Gustard Cream.

helpmum2003 · 10/03/2019 08:55

For a male Labrador I'd go for a human type not cute name.

Archie is good. Freddie? Arthur? Max? Bobby? Henry? Toby? Kit?

Enjoy him.

Emilydickensonsdogs · 10/03/2019 08:55

Our fox red lab is Murphy, the DC wanted to call him Cooper but I managed to talk them round...however I look at him everyday and think he’s more of a CooperHmm

FuckyNel · 10/03/2019 17:13

Might as well just call him arsehole from the beginning - you’ll be used to calling him it when he eats the skirting boards and nicks the kids chips Grin

BiggFactHunt · 10/03/2019 17:18

I wanted Axel for our lab but DH wouldn’t have it.
Should have called him Chase as I have ran after him trying to get the git back many a time.

mymugmytea · 10/03/2019 17:20

I like 'proper' names for male animals too *and loads of the names on here have been used for male pets in my house and one for my DS Grin )

Love 'Boris;' (though DD refused that for one of our pets)

Neville
Malcolm
Sheldon

Just remember your vet will call him by name so your DH is right to refuse Custard Cream !

Why is this an argument against?! That would be hilarious.

Please call him Custard Cream.
