New puppy - name ideas please?

We collect our new family member next week and are not sure on names - he is a male golden labrador. Any one any suggestions?

I did like custard cream but DP says he is not taking the dog to the park and shouting "custard cream" Blush

Whatever you name your dog, he is likely to end up acquiring a whole host of other names. Our trio of cats is collectively known as Brian. The dog (female) is frequently referred to as Roger. Maybe it's just us.....

There's only one Custard, and this is him 😁. I wasn't sure at first, but it's a great name and it really suits. Everyone he meets loves the name.
Originally we were going to call him Rollo, but I'm so pleased we went with Custard.

I like human type names for animals too. Shaun Ryder my black and white female moggie was my first foray into this wonderful world. It's amazing, you can name animals all the wacky names you wanted to call your children but were vetoed by traditional stick up their arse husbands.
I have a small ginger dog named by DS. He's Diego and it suits him.
I knew someone in the late eight IES who had a female Yorkshire terrier called Roger. That was a bit edgy and art school then, luckily we've all mellowed out these days.
And here's another vote for Gustard.Cream.

Ineedachange · 10/03/2019 19:40

Oooh I love Boris. That's a great name. You could just call him Bo for short.

I also like Custard Cream. You'd never call him Custard Cream though. It's far more likely you'll end up calling him Cus or Custy.

Mustard?

Lemon Curd? Or Curdy for short? Okay...I'll shut up now

I've got a Daisy and Jigsaw. I usually just call them Dais and Jig. Unless I can't get Daisy to move when she's lying on me - then she's Lazy Daisy

Gustard cream, brilliant!

Have you had him vet checked, OP? He shouldn’t have discharge from his eyes.
