Where can you buy nice cotton pants? Why are there so many pants in artificial fabrics?

Where does everyone buy good underwear nowadays? All my recent black Primark pants keep falling apart in the washing machine. This never used to happen.

Also, apart from the practical/ comfy style - where do people tend to get things like French knickers?

M&S are used to be great for cheap basic cotton knickers and now it's cotton gusset with the rest of the pant made from synthetic material. It's terrible!

Thismummyruns · 09/03/2019 22:19

I get all my underwear from Debenhams Smile

RandomMess · 09/03/2019 22:21

GAP are really good for high percentage cotton options. Their breathe range are also incredibly comfortable but synthetic.

Tidypidy · 09/03/2019 22:47

Sainsbury's, Asda and Tesco all sell cotton knickers in a variety of styles at a very affordable price. They wash up brilliantly too.

Dothehappydance · 09/03/2019 22:48

I have some from Sainsbury's

I've got cotton Brazilians from m and s they are so comfy. Some of the multi packs are synthetic with a cotton gusset but the 3 for £10 ones do an all cotton option.

sirmione16 · 09/03/2019 23:42

Tesco for me - best underwear especially after giving birth their full briefs are ultra comfortable

GiveMeSteam · 09/03/2019 23:45

M&S do do pure cotton ones, you just have to read all the labels carefully. I have heaps of their multipacks, bikinis I think in cotton, they're great.

pinkpopcorn · 09/03/2019 23:53

Fatface do pretty cotton ones

IndigoApple · 09/03/2019 23:57

Definitely Uniqlo

Also agree with GAP recommendation above.

My Primark short-style pants are synthetic but they’re completely indestructible.

myidentitymycrisis · 10/03/2019 00:46

I have some all cotton from primark, the big ones. They’re a bit baggy but comfy.

soulrunner · 10/03/2019 06:34

Tesco do an awesome multipack of plain black bikini style knickers in cotton for 4 quid. They wash brilliantly and are really comfortable. They also do a fuller style and a Brazilian style.

NoParticularPattern · 10/03/2019 06:37

I have multipacks of cotton pants from M&S. You have to make sure you check the label but I’ve never found it a problem to find 100% cotton pants from there. They’re indestructible. Sainsbury’s also do them

bagpiss · 10/03/2019 06:39

Another thumbs up for Sainsburys ones from me too.

RiddleyW · 10/03/2019 06:40

I actually quite like the shiny modal pants that M&S do (cotton gusset) but they wash terribly! Just fall apart after like three or four washes so I’m having to return to cotton. M&S definitely do them.

I've just bought a couple of packs of cotton pants from marks. They are still there!

PH03b3 · 10/03/2019 07:30

Im a big pant 5 pack from debenhams wearer have been for years but got to be honest the last few packs i brought last summer have been rubbish holes appearing

CluedoAddict · 10/03/2019 08:55

The M&S ones are rubbish. I had a multi pack and within a month the elastic had all come detached at the waistband. They all ended up in the bin. Asda ones are great.

Meretricious · 10/03/2019 08:58

Fat face do nice cotton knickers.

Amfeelingfline · 10/03/2019 09:13

Smoggy do some really nice ones, got mine from amazon, not the cheapest but by far the comfiest i’ve bought in a long time and not big pants. The ones I got are called Tai

Sloggi do really good cotton knickers. They wash well and keep their shape. I like their Tai cotton range.

Amfeelingfline · 10/03/2019 09:16

@user1471510561 snap! 😁
