If you had to choose between music or TV?

Which one would you choose?

For me I always have music on and could quite easily live without a TV. DH on the other hand is really into films so he could not give up the TV.

I know you can get music via the TV / computer / phone etc but I am talking hypothetically if you had to choose between one or the other which would it be?

TV. I don't watch it much but I virtually never put music on.

Redshoeblueshoe · 09/03/2019 21:19

TV I'm not really a music fan

ittooshallpass · 09/03/2019 21:19

TV. I never listen to music.

Whisky2014 · 09/03/2019 21:20

Music. Ditch the tv

RomanyQueen1 · 09/03/2019 21:20

music of course, without music in your life you're soulless.

Ivegotthree · 09/03/2019 21:20

TV. Couldn't care less about music.

Whisky2014 · 09/03/2019 21:22

I can't believe so many people don't listen to music. I'm shocked actually.

Ocies · 09/03/2019 21:26

Music. A life without music would be like a life without colour.

RomanyQueen1 · 09/03/2019 21:28

Whisky

Me too, I recently noticed on another thread.
I guess the most recent generation weren't brought up to appreciate it, we listened to so much as kids, it was everywhere. It was proper instrumental too and lots of people who could sing too.
I find it very sad.

AmIOTTconcerned · 09/03/2019 21:28

Difficult. I love tv. It helps me switch off.

But music helps me through so many different emotions. It motivates me. It distracts me. It lifts me up and helps me work through things when I'm down.

I guess based on that it would be music.

Tricky though!

WarpedGalaxy · 09/03/2019 21:30

Music (and books) but since DH would certainly choose TV I guess I’d be able to cheat and binge watch Netflix series occasionally.

Bimblepops · 09/03/2019 21:30

Music, or radio. Would struggle during the day without radio, some is music and some is speech. I’d miss TV, but not as much as I’d miss music/radio.

Dermymc · 09/03/2019 21:31

Music. TV is barely on here

FloatingthroughSpace · 09/03/2019 21:31

Neither. But you can wrestle my radio 4 and my audiobooks out of my cold dead hands.

WanderingTrolley1 · 09/03/2019 21:32

Music.

Yep. I think it's just so much more artistic and talented. So many variations. I'd rather than than bloody brain rot eastenders!!

PhysaliaPhysalis · 09/03/2019 21:33

I don't watch a massive amount of TV but what I do watch I would miss. I love music, so I'd go for TV and watch things with really great soundtracks, such as The Umbrella Academy or Shooting Fish.

Redshoeblueshoe · 09/03/2019 21:33

It's not an age thing, I couldn't be described as young, unless I was being compared to an 80 year old.
And you really do not need feel sad on my behalf.

PaintBySticker · 09/03/2019 21:33

Tv. I’d miss music but I watch more tv.

Redshoeblueshoe · 09/03/2019 21:34

Oh and I don't watch EastEnders either

Luaa · 09/03/2019 21:35

I really enjoy films and some t.v. shows, but music, no doubt. I could live without tv, but I love music.

Whisky2014 · 09/03/2019 21:39

Oh and I don't watch EastEnders either

Phew

inmyfeelings · 09/03/2019 21:42

I'd choose music . Dislike driving, cleaning the house or marking books without it . Music is an absolute necessity for me and TV is a guilty pleasure .
