What are you having on your pancakes?

Going to pop to the shops for pancake batter ingredients and toppings. What are you planning to have?
I usually just go traditional lemon and sugar but wondering about some cheesy ones? Or maybe Nutella?

Maple syrup. American pancakes.

dementedpixie · 05/03/2019 15:26

We make scotch pancakes so it's normally butter, jam, syrup.

Easterbunnyiscomingsoon · 05/03/2019 15:28

Golden syrup

I’m sticking to traditional lemon and sugar.

Ds has them plain

BlueMerchant · 05/03/2019 15:30

Always Nutella for me.( My son insists on tomato ketchup)

mrsk28 · 05/03/2019 15:30

Nutella or some sort of chocolate spread, have the batter ready in the fridge. Can't wait!

Atalune · 05/03/2019 15:31

Galettes- cheese, ham, spinich and an egg
Crepes- lemon and sugar, bananas and caramel with whipped cream, chocolate and marshmallow

Upthepong · 05/03/2019 15:32

Three flavour combos on offer here.

  1. Lemon juice and sugar
  2. maple syrup and crushed walnuts
  3. skyr, raspberries, strawberries and sugar

We love pancakes in this house

Friolero · 05/03/2019 15:34

I like Nutella with blueberries, strawberries and squirty cream.

BadlyAgedMemes · 05/03/2019 15:34

We had not-really-jam, ie. frozen "summer fruits" heated to boil with some sugar mixed in. It was nice.

DeadCertain · 05/03/2019 15:36

Lemon juice and sugar.

snoogans · 05/03/2019 15:46

Lemon and sugar here. Nutella is full of palm oil btw.

buzzzzzzz · 05/03/2019 16:19

We just get out the random jars / bottles from the baking cupboard that have stood half used for a while - use it as a chance to clear them out and start fresh

So we have a choice of

Jam
Lemon curd
Sugar
Lemon juice
Golden syrup
Chocolate spread

Have some ice cream in the freezer and some fruit in the fridge so will have those as well.

We just decide what we want and sometimes have a few different types - one mix on each pancake

OutingOutlander · 05/03/2019 16:21

Bacon and golden or maple syrup for semi savoury pancakes.

Caramel & chocolate spread, lemon and sugar or jam for sweet.

Chocolateheaven123 · 05/03/2019 16:23

Lemon and sugar all the way. Only way to have them. Any other way is criminal Grin

MojitoMojitoo · 05/03/2019 16:24

Not pancakes, waffles! With nutella, fluff and berries!

CaseofEllen · 05/03/2019 16:25

We had lemon and sugar this morning and I want Nutella and strawberries tonight. Yes we are having them twice in one day Blush

Parsley65 · 05/03/2019 16:26

We love pancakes and have two courses!
The first is savoury with chopped bacon/ham and grated mature cheddar.
The second course is either lemon & sugar or nutella & banana.
Enjoy Grin

SrSteveOskowski · 05/03/2019 16:32

The traditional lemon and sugar, but also raspberries and dark chocolate.

EnidButton · 05/03/2019 16:38

I made myself some with gluten free flour and they're really good so I'm feeling pleased with myself. Grin (anyone else attempting gf flour, you need to whisk the batter between pours or the flour settles at the bottom.)

Doing DH normal ones later. We have a choice of blueberries, raspberries, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, lemon and brown sugar.

My fave has always been just lemon and brown sugar.

knitandpearl · 05/03/2019 16:39

Banana and maple syrup is my new favourite.
Used to love cherry pie filling from a can with whipped cream. Haven't had that for ages now...

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 05/03/2019 17:30

I shall be making crepes Suzette type later - sauce of butter, brown sugar, orange and lemon juice, Cointreau, heat pancakes in it, fold into quarters, delish.
Otherwise I just like them with lemon and sugar.

sparkli · 05/03/2019 18:03

Scotch pancakes (drop scones) warm with butter and homemade raspberry jam. Yum!

What are you having on your pancakes?
IHaveBrilloHair · 05/03/2019 18:04

Peaches and cream, Dd is making them and has put cinnamon in the batter.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 05/03/2019 18:10

We had lemon and sugar, and Nutella with strawberries and grapes. Yummy.
