When book week costumes go wrong...

For book week this year my DS asked to be 'Superworm'. He asked ages ago, and I agreed. As he had given me so much notice I had time to plan... figured a repurposed cat tunnel with a hat on could work?

It wasn't until I put the hat on the tunnel that I realised what I had created...

Yes, I did send my 6 year old to school dressed as a giant penis worm! It looked a bit less phallic once it was moving and we added a (not in keeping with the book) cape.

That gave me a good laugh when I'm feeling absolutely crap and off work...so thank you OP!

@GreyRoses - I know, it's bizarre. They actually had it before half term but all the book week posts reminded me that this needed sharing.

dd has just announced she wants to go as Ginny weasley. She's 11, I thought we were past all the dressing up.

I don;t have anything which could be a Hoggwarts robe/cloak, let alone a griffindor tie. And she wants red hair dye.
