As the title basically. I'm talking along the lines of beans on toast, egg in a mug, chicken nuggets and chips etc etc

Pure an utter comfort food or when you can't be arsed cooking! Need ideas Grin

@Bluesheep8

Microwave a sandwich with those plastic cheese slices in and peanut butter too. Magical!

pumpastrotter · 27/02/2019 12:24

Frozen yorkshire puddings, smash and lashings of gravy.

Wooo chakira ! That takes plastic cheese to another level of depravity! Note to self to try it....

vampirethriller · 27/02/2019 16:49

Instant mash with instant gravy and mint sauce.

millythepink · 27/02/2019 18:40

Fried bread thickly spread with peanut butter and jam.

Thick white bread with several slices of plastic cheese and a huge dollop of ketchup, then zapped in the microwave for 40 seconds, enough to melt the cheese and make the bread a bit gooey.

winsinbin · 27/02/2019 18:47

Ready made mash with extra butter, pre grated cheddar and chopped spring onions. Maybe a poached egg as well if I’m feeling energetic.

Or a croque monsieur made of granary bread with lots of butter on the outside and Brie and chilli jam on the inside.

Bloodybridget · 27/02/2019 18:53

A good supermarket pizza. Washed down with plenty of red wine.

longearedbat · 27/02/2019 19:06

Baked beans with really buttery proper mashed potato

squeefy · 27/02/2019 19:23

pot noodle
smash, beans, spam (grilled/ fried/ fritter)

Didyeeaye · 27/02/2019 19:56

Chicken Kiev, chunky chips and salad with a healthy dollop of coleslaw. Lucky for me this is also my DS's favourite meal lol

Egg in a mug?! Shock what wonderful thing is this?

Egg in a mug?! shock what wonderful thing is this?

Boiled egg chopped up with butter salt and pepper, eat with toast and tea. I occasionally have it with salad cream.

PinkHeart5914 · 28/02/2019 09:13

What is the obsession with the egg in a mug? I just don’t get it, it’s a boiled egg in a mug Confused just a boiled egg

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree · 28/02/2019 09:17

Boiled egg chopped up with butter salt and pepper, eat with toast and tea. So it's just like a poached egg on toast?

MrsJayy · 28/02/2019 09:31

It is just a chopped up hard boiled egg

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 28/02/2019 09:37

Cheese and crisp sandwiches. No cooking required.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 28/02/2019 10:44

Cook spaghetti. Return to pot when drained.

Throw through chopped tomates (fresh), chopped garlic and olive oil. Add salt and pepper. Stir like a maniac so it doesn't catch - you just want the tomatoes to warm a tad, then serve. Grate over a tonne of parmesan.

longearedbat · 28/02/2019 11:34

The spaghetti with chopped tomatoes sounds lovely. I shall be trying that!

DanglyTassles · 28/02/2019 11:51

Do some pasta, drain and stir in cream and cream cheese plus anything else in the world.

Parmesan and black pepper on top.

DrFoxtrot · 28/02/2019 19:12

I thought the egg in a mug was going to be a wonderful easy way to poach an egg or something. Do you boil the egg in water in a mug in the microwave?

Epanoui · 28/02/2019 19:31

I have egg in a mug as soft boiled egg chopped up with cubes of buttered white bread. It is lovely and far superior to other boiled egg presentations.

My favourite dirty meal is to make up a whole sachet of bread sauce just for me and have it with leftover gravy and cooked frozen peas.

Also chicken in white sauce served over rice into which you have melted a lot of butter (and maybe a squirt of lemon juice from a bottle).

Chicken and mushroom pot noodle with added tinned sweetcorn.

Fried cheese sandwich made with processed cheese slices. Maybe ketchup too.

Bread fried in dripping or duck/goose fat. Salt and pepper. Ketchup.

ChakiraChakra · 02/03/2019 14:35

So you egg-in-a-mug eaters, are boiling the egg in a pan normally, peeling it, and adding it to a mug with your preferred ingredients?

I know I must sound think but - well, I probably am!

ForkingBullshirt · 02/03/2019 14:56

Fishfingers, chips and baked beans. It's my ultimate comfort food!

Epanoui · 02/03/2019 20:45

@ChakiraChakra yes! Exactly that.
