As the title basically. I'm talking along the lines of beans on toast, egg in a mug, chicken nuggets and chips etc etc

Pure an utter comfort food or when you can't be arsed cooking! Need ideas Grin

Getting into it now.

A cheese and bacon sarnie. Or a cheese and mayo sarnie dipped in soup. Cheese on toast with ketchup or BBQ sauce under the cheese.

Cheese.

Emergency egg fried rice.

Fry some frozen chopped onion, lazy chilli, lazy garlic, lazy ginger in a bit of sesame oil.

Stir in a packet of microwaved rice and a handful of frozen peas, and stir fry it all together for a bit.

Put plenty of soy sauce in, then when it’s hot break an egg in and stir it round quick until it’s all broken up and cooked through.

You can make this more substantial by adding more veg (mushrooms, peppers, spring onions) and a few prawns, but I mainly like it just as it is.

Eat with lots more soy sauce and a spoon.

Breaded chicken with beans. My DH loves this and actually sighs with pleasure when he finds out that is what we are having!

Deny's sausages, beans and mash slathered in HP brown sauce is a firm favourite in this house.

Or any sort of breaded chicken also with beans and mash.

Really need to invest in a deep fat fryer cus I can't stand the way oven chips taste.

Mmmhmmokdear · 26/02/2019 12:52

I love Mug Shots. Especially the smoky bbq and teryaki ones.

Micro chips with tinned mushy peas, loads of salt and vinegar.

Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli and edamame beans all covered in bottled satay or chinese curry sauce. At least this one has nutrition in it I suppose!

Super easy n super cheesy carbonara. Boil spaghetti for 10 mins. While it's cooking mix 2 egg yolks (plus a dash of cream or elmleigh if liked) with tonnes of some parmesan and loads of coarse ground black pepper in a cup. Drain the spag and stir in the egg and cheese until its heated through and thickened. Add some of the spag water if req.

Even better with fried mushrooms and fried smokey streaky... Having this tonight, can't wait!
