As the title basically. I'm talking along the lines of beans on toast, egg in a mug, chicken nuggets and chips etc etc

Pure an utter comfort food or when you can't be arsed cooking! Need ideas Grin

For lunch I’ve just had oven chips, baked beans (the ones with the little sausages in them) and cheese. Needed a good stodgy carb fix.

Sometimes I make a batch of roast potatoes and have a plate of those on their own with gravy.

Also partial to a Fray Bentos pie once every 5 years or so (they’re absolutely vile but it’s nostalgia, my dad used to love them).

lubeybooby · 26/02/2019 13:27

shit as in massively bad for me (familial hypercholesterol) would be a classic american 'grilled' cheese which is actually fried, in butter. I allow myself one per year.

shit as in no effort and not exactly health food would be beans, smiley faces and sausages. I actually almost never have this but maybe I'll add it to the 'one per year' list

lubeybooby · 26/02/2019 13:28

oh and shit as in looks disgusting (but is actually nice) would be curry supernoodles with a fried egg on top

amusedbush · 26/02/2019 13:31

VeryFoolishFay · 26/02/2019 13:54

LadyPeach · 26/02/2019 13:56

Also those mini turkey Kiev's have always been a fave!

Narya · 26/02/2019 13:58

Fish finger sandwich with ketchup on one slice of bread and tartare sauce on the other

onemouseplace · 26/02/2019 14:00

Chicken Kiev and oven chips. I may do broccoli instead of the chips if I'm pretending I'm being healthy.

BettyCrockaShit · 26/02/2019 14:02

Slightly burned bacon in a sandwich with loads of peanut butter. Can't beat it!

Witchend · 26/02/2019 14:05

What we grandly call risotto.
It's actually rice with all the left over vegetables chopped up and a bit of bacon.

Dd1 likes plain rice with a little sweet and sour sauce.

Sausage cakes-remove the skin of a sausage and roll the meat into a ball and rub in breadcrumbs. Fry.

Potato cakes, mashed potato mixed with fried onion and various chopped up left over veg. Put in frying pan and fry.
If you add meat to it (you can mince the ends of the Sunday roast to good effect) then I think it's called rissoles.
I did it once for the children when we had a day of being WWII and they loved it so much they asked for it again. (the potato cakes rather than the day!)

GahWhatever · 26/02/2019 14:10

cheesy chips with gravy.

Roasted cauliflower with grated cheese on.

linguine with loads of chilli oil and defrosted prawns.

AhFeck · 26/02/2019 14:14

Noodle Butty, has to be bacon super noodles, orange warburtons and smothered in lurpak.

Mash, beans and corned beef all mixed together so it looks like puke. For an extra northern twist you can put it on bread

Potato waffles topped with beans, cheese and mayo Blush

Sugary chocolate cereal with milkshake

Garlic bread spag Bol Butty, just shove your mince and pasta in between 2 slices of garlic bread and go straight to hospital heaven

Wraps with fridge packet ready cooked chicken and cheese slices

From a take away you can make an amazing chicken burger by adding cheesy chips to it

Tiger bread with butter

I eat way too much shit food and I regret nothing.

cantfindname · 26/02/2019 14:15

Heinz spaghetti on toast. Might even go as far as grating a bit of cheese on top.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 26/02/2019 14:45

My favourite lazy dinner - no peeling or chopping - is one tin of condensed mushroom soup mixed with one tin of drained, flaked tuna - heated together, all mixed with cooked pasta and served with frozen peas.
Very tasty. Though it was ages before I tried it since I thought it sounded horrible.

Rosstofer · 26/02/2019 14:53

Oh my god, I had completely erased toast toppers from my brain
