Because I'm going tomorrow!

OP posts:

Melt in the middle chocolate pudding
The proper chicken Kiev. (At one point they had a cheaper one as well, but it’s reformed chicken, not sure if it’s still there.)

NigelGresley · 24/02/2019 19:13

Generally quite underwhelmed by M&S, but I do like...
Cantina tortilla chips
Bombay mix
Pink raspberry iced buns
Mountain bars

If we’re on hols & have an M&S food nearby, we might get their ready meals. The ‘balanced’ range is quite good, but not something I would buy all the time.

Fig and hazelnut bread. In fact any of the bread. The French fries. All the different mayos. The strawberry or toffee meringues. The hot cross buns.

MrsBungle · 24/02/2019 19:17

Butternut squash ravioli. I had it last week and it was lovely

PickAChew · 24/02/2019 19:17

The collection Lasagna.
Handcrafted Melton Mowbray pork pie
Their bacon is really good. The 2 for a fiver stuff.
Their spring rolls are the best out there.
Wine. Currently 1/3 off some nice ones.

Heybreya · 24/02/2019 19:18

Lemon cheesecake, chocolate covered Brazil nuts, cheese taster crisps, southern fried chicken pieces.

Heybreya · 24/02/2019 19:18

Oh and their pistachio cookies

fatpatsthong · 24/02/2019 19:23

Chocolate and salted caramel
Hot x buns.

PoptartPoptart · 24/02/2019 19:24

I second the hot chocolate fudge pudding - we’ve just had one for pudding tonight and OMG it is delicious!
I also really like their boneless ribs.

Mmmhmmokdear · 24/02/2019 19:25

Cookie Dough Bites
Their various flavoured knock off Walnut Whips

OxanaVorontsova · 24/02/2019 19:25

creamy mash
hot cross buns
naan bread
mini poppadums
deli stuff

NotwhereIshouldbe · 24/02/2019 19:26

Chococcino muffins! I can eat an entire pack! If you're gluten free they do a great gluten free pasta range in the fresh food aisle

FrangipaniBlue · 24/02/2019 19:28

They do these little mini Cumberland sausages that are bbq flavour, I do them in the slow cooker in a beef gravy with a bit of smoky paprika added Grin

Tanaqui · 24/02/2019 19:29

Their gluten free stuff is pretty consistently good- I like the scones and the New York cheesecake.

Super green salad is delicious and lots of the deli meats are good but £££.

BuildingQuote · 24/02/2019 19:30

I find their fruit tastes better than other supermarkets’ so usually look for grapes, satsumas, strawberries etc .
I also like their thoughtfulness to gluten free as it’s easy to find gf sausages, chicken goujons and lasagne
Also love that their bread has no preservatives (or I don’t think it does)

BernardsBum · 24/02/2019 19:31

CHEESE TASTERS!!!
(Their version of wotsits

norbert23 · 24/02/2019 19:32

Oooh their chicken & Patatas bravas with garlic aioli is lush!

Thymeout · 24/02/2019 19:32

Own brand Jaffa cakes
Swiss whole hazelnut chocolate bars
Fizzy apple juice
Walnut bread - but the loaves are smaller than they used to be.
Cheese puffs/Wotsits type of snack.

But I've given up on their bacon, sausages and meat. Even Waitrose does cheaper varieties and M&S aren't worth the extra. Iceland fresh rump and sirloin steaks are only £3 and just as good.

SearchingForSeaGlass · 24/02/2019 19:34

Ultimate mash
Melt in the middle fishcakes
Duck with plum sauce and pancakes
Steak pie
Chocolate biscuits
Triple cooked chips (frozen)
And what they said ^

RaskolnikovsGarret · 24/02/2019 19:36

San Francisco sour dough
Roast beef and onion crisps
Cookie dough mini bites
Extremely chocolatey dark chocolate biscuits
Milk chocolate cookies from bakery
Greek yoghurt (all types)
Tuna pate

DobbyTheHouseElk · 24/02/2019 19:36

Cheddar and red lester cheese bread. In store bakery. £2 for a small loaf, but....it’s amazing.

Their fruit and veg is fresh.

Percy pigs

I can’t actually think of anything in there I don’t like. It’s all good.

BuildingQuote · 24/02/2019 19:37

Ooh yes, I forgot their hazelnut chocolate- so much better than most brands where it has changed quality IMO.

Tidythatmess · 24/02/2019 19:38

Fresh choc chip cookies
Percy Pigs
Thai style fish cakes

Boopear · 24/02/2019 19:42

Cauliflower popcorn
Sticky toffee pudding (just had it. Yum yum yum!)
Malaysian rainbow curry..basically vegan butternut squash curry. It’s super lush and healthy to boot.

Quintella · 24/02/2019 19:42

I adore their Florentines but they're £4 for six so I rarely indulge.
