Wtf is this on my ear?

Literally ON the back of my ear, red slightly raised lump that is tender when you press it.

Cyst?! The back of that ear has been sore for a while but I just dismissed it as a spot coming. But this is definitely under the skin.

Is it in the crease be him the lobe where the ear meets the skull?
I get boils there sometimes when I'm run down.

saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 21:15

Yes exactly there! It's under the skin not on top of it iyswim so I don't think it can be a boil.

Is it just behind your earlobe on your neck. Could it be swollen glands?

No it's definitely on my ear and not my neck. I have had lots of swollen glands in my time and none have felt like this anyway.

I think you ought to get someone to take a photo or two for us

Sparrowlegs248 · 23/02/2019 22:09

A spot?

saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 22:09

I've tried but it really doesn't show up in a picture at all, just looks a bit red!

OP posts:
starfishmummy · 23/02/2019 22:09

We need a picture

saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 22:12

It's def not a spot

safariboot · 23/02/2019 22:13

Boils can be deep sometimes I think.

I reckon warm flannel regularly and be sure to tell us all when it pops!

Todaythiscouldbe · 23/02/2019 22:15

I have no idea but I have exactly the same. It's driving me mad, if I catch it by accident it hurts a lot!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 23/02/2019 22:15

Have you been on a ship out in space recently?

Because then you need to be quarantined or bad things will happen to all humanity.

saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 22:17

Come to think of it I was abducted by aliens last week.

OP posts:
Knittedfrog · 23/02/2019 22:20

Occipital lymph node?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 23/02/2019 22:21

I knew there would be an epic drip feed here.

MumUnderTheMoon · 23/02/2019 22:22

Is it on the top of your ear? I have eczema just there only on my right ear and it's the only place I've ever had it.

saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 22:24

It's definitely not a lymph node, it's on my ear itself and not my neck

It's at the back of my ear, just above my earlobe where my ear meets my head

It looks a little red where it is but it's a lump or swelling under the skin which you can feel

It hurts when pressed

OP posts:
MyWeaponofChoiceisWords · 23/02/2019 22:26

sebaceous cyst?

Knittedfrog · 23/02/2019 22:30

That's exactly where an occipital lymph node can be found.

AllGoodDogs · 23/02/2019 22:30

Whatever it is, if you pop it please film it and post the video in Sporner Corner 🙏🙏

saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 22:33

Is it knitted? Not in any diagrams that I can see!

OP posts:
saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 22:35

Guys I can't pop it!! It's under the skin!!

OP posts:
Knittedfrog · 23/02/2019 22:35

Yeah it is. I had a swollen one once.

Wtf is this on my ear?
saxatablesalt · 23/02/2019 22:36

What was it? I'm not ill or anything. No ear infections!

OP posts:

So pretty much exactly like a spot, then?
