I've just finished One Tree Hill

I've just finished OTH.
I have literally loved this series. I am so upset now I've finished. I love it as much as I loved Skins (and How I Met Your Mother).

So, I'm looking for suggestions for the next series I should watch. On a similar vine to these ones.

I need to fill the hole left in my evenings.

I LOVE one tree hill! what about The OC? Riverdale? Dawson's Creek?

YerAWizardHarry · 19/02/2019 21:48

Gilmore Girls?

erja · 19/02/2019 21:50

@Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople DM has suggested Dawson's Creek and I've heard good things about the O.C. so will look into them! Thank you.

And I loooved One tree hill. I'm so unbelievably sad I've just finished it!

@YerAWizardHarry watched GG so many times, it's just a background watch for me now (like Friends)! Grin

Pretty little liar, charmed?

matildawormwoood · 19/02/2019 21:52

90210 or gossip girl!

matildawormwoood · 19/02/2019 21:53

I also second the OC, very similar to OTH!

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 19/02/2019 21:54

You’d probably love the O.C!

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 19/02/2019 21:55

But with no Dan Scott!Grin

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 19/02/2019 21:55

Yes to Gossip Girl too

erja · 19/02/2019 21:56

Thanks everyone!!!!! Looks like the OC could be a really good next watch!

@matildawormwoood DM has also suggested 90210! Think I tried to watch it a few years ago but couldn't get into the first episodes so stopped, maybe I'll try again.

@Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople I like Dan Scott!!!!! Am I strange? I almost cried when he just died! !spoiler! Sad

Just hanging out here for any more like this. I haven't seen gossip girl but I loved the rest

itsboiledeggsagain · 19/02/2019 21:58

Where are we finding one tree Hill BTW?
Asking for a friend...

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 19/02/2019 21:58

On the back of this thread I have now decided to re watch OTH after I finish riverdale!

erja · 19/02/2019 21:58

@itsboiledeggsagain I've actually watched the first 1/2 of gossip girl and loved it. I can't remember at what point I got bored and stopped but I might have to give it another go as the first half was really good.

CurbsideProphet · 19/02/2019 21:58

God I love OTH. Is it on Netflix? I'm now tempted to find a cheap OC boxset. Absolutely love escapist telly. I'm not interested in murder misery progs.

erja · 19/02/2019 21:59

@itsboiledeggsagain boxset for me - a bit old school!

OP posts:
Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 19/02/2019 22:00

@itsboiledeggsagain I am cool enough to own them all on dvd I have just checked and it's not on Netflix (I thought it was)

erja · 19/02/2019 22:00

@CurbsideProphet it's so good isn't it!!!!! Think DP is frustrated at how much I've loved it as I update him on what's been going on every episode!!!! I was hooked from the first few and it usually takes me a bit of effort to get into a series properly!

Isitweekendyet · 19/02/2019 22:00

I've just had a quiet moment reminiscing how much I love OTH.

ABSOLUTELY The OC - they don't make TV like it anymore.

Also, Buffy? Pretty Little Liars? Charmed? Gossip Girl? 90210 - the new series?

Ilikeanimalsmorethanpeople · 19/02/2019 22:01

The OC is currently £34.99 on Amazon but you can get it cheaper in somewhere like CEX I bet

AnneLovesGilbert · 19/02/2019 22:02

One tree hill is my main plan for maternity leave! How did you watch it? Can’t find it on anything to stream.

Definitely go Dawson’s. It’s infuruating and beautiful. And it’s okay to hate Dawson Grin

In a totally different vein, try fringe.

erja · 19/02/2019 22:02

DM has also suggested I may like Desperate Housewives but I'm a bit apprehensive as I always remembered it being a bit cringe... any input on this from anyone?

OP posts:
erja · 19/02/2019 22:03

@AnneLovesGilbert I used DVDs. It's a shame it's not on anything!!!! I think it'd be just as popular as Gossip Girl etc on Netflix.
