Any nice quotes that I can put in dh's valentines card?

I need to make a card & usually out a poem or quote inside, relating to love without being too gushy.

Haven't much time today would like something - maybe along the lines of simple joys. Feel like our life is being boring but content at the moment! Any recommendations appreciated!

Loved you then, love you still, always have, always will

To the world you are one person,to this one person you are the world.

How about a Virginia Woolf quote

“In case you ever foolishly forget: I am never not thinking of you.”

LaurieFairyCake · 13/02/2019 12:57

"You're really fucking hot"

I can honestly say dh gets all smiley when I write shit like that

toastonbean · 13/02/2019 13:04

You're my sun, my moon and all my stars

“2 years gone (or however long you have been together), and forever to go”

buckeejit · 13/02/2019 13:25

Super thanks - I can save some of these for our anniversary!

The Virginia Woolf one is my fave so far!

Shamelessly stealing all these.

My cards to DH are always signed off with:

All my everything, always, love, MrsContrary

SadieContrary · 13/02/2019 13:30

Remember when you used to fill cards with the cheesy little poems?

I've never forgotten this one:

It's cold outside,
Your hands are numb,
So come inside
and feel my bum!

Ahhh that Virginia Woolf one made me cry.

Another that does that is Dorothy L Sayers

“I love you. I am at rest with you. I have come home.”

Elfinablender · 13/02/2019 13:33

I don't know, if I saw that Woolf quote in a horror movie, I'd know that what was coming next wasn't going to be good.

PrismGuile · 13/02/2019 13:39

'I could've done worse'

A soppier Emily Brontë quote

“He's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”

A Henry James one

“ It has made me better loving you...
It has made me wiser,
And easier,
And brighter.”

I write a quote or something in every card I give to DP. I’ll have to dig them out and look over them sometime.

PoliticalBiscuit · 13/02/2019 13:48

Love Bronte.

You.... Xxx c

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 13/02/2019 13:58

Sorry one last one I’ve remembered

“They slipped briskly into an intimacy from which they never recovered.”

F. Scott Fitzgerald

DoingMyBest2010 · 13/02/2019 13:59

Roses are red

Ha ha. I can just imagine my OH's face if I wrote a quote in a card. He'd think I'd lost my marbles.

SadieContrary · 13/02/2019 14:04

Sorry for hijacking, buckeejit Thanks

MegaBat · 13/02/2019 14:08

Maybe just a teeny bit overkill there OP GrinGrin
