... another parent to your child’s school for saying something negative about the school on social

I posted something factual and innocuous about DC's primary school on SM. I got a phone call from the deputy head to tell me to remove it because someone was concerned about it and they didn't want to have to write to all the parents (if it warrants a "reassuring" letter, you probably shouldn't be doing it). I know who reported me, they actually seemed quite proud.

Same happened to me, I posted a minor rant on Facebook and someone called the headteacher, who called me, less than half an hour after I'd posted it.
Think the headteacher expected me to be apologetic, but I was fuming, and read out exactly what I'd written to her, and demanded an apology.
I then posted on Facebook something like "thought we were all adults, and past telling tales to the teacher, but obviously not." Which gained me a second call from the headteacher Grin
Once I'd calmed down about the actual issue, I found it pathetic that one of my "friends" was so childish.

If that was a thing I'd have been reported twice a week for years! This wasn't on public forums though, just on my own private FB that wasn't visible to anyone else.
I think if I'd seen someone naming a school on a public page and making defamatory comments that may or may not be true, or naming teachers, I might report that.
