I seem to have this drawer in my kitchen that's full of random stuff that I can't find anywhere to otherwise put it.Included are suction stickers ,old sunglasses and various rolls of patterned sellotape! Do you have an equivalent and please describe contents .

We don't have one. We're having our kitchen done in March and I've specifically asked for one to be installed.

I tidied our drawer of crap a few months ago and have given strict instructions that things are to be put back in place, not thrown in. It contains pens, sellotape, pot stand, post it notes, pipe cleaners, S hooks, allen keys, a brad awl, scissors and a large box of matches.

I removed all the other bits and put them in jars and boxes which either went into the garage or on a shelf in a cupboard. These were things like fuses, rubber bands, random useful screws, nails, rawlplugs, plastic screw covers, anti bump stickers for doors, bits of string, door knobs and many other things that one day we will be saying 'what happened to that 'thing' or do we have a ?'

The other drawer of crap contains rolls of tape, assorted - masking, nylon, gaffer, electrical that will go manky in the garage, takeaway menus, tape measures and a few cards for tree felling and the like. I have to keep it under control.

Shame about the rest of the house though.

Ours is called thw Drawer of Doom. It contains:

Batteries
Spare bits from various pieces of furniture
Screwdrivers
A puncture repair kit
A tape measure
A torch
Ball of string
Stuff I don't know what it is but one day I might figure it out and realise I need it.

Yes, I recently bought some plastic dividers from eBay and tidied out the drawer. I was very impressed with myself! Please don't mind the old dirty looking electronic scales.

I have a metal box in the garage with even more shit in too.

BrieAndChilli · 06/02/2019 14:53

oh god, we have
2 large plastic boxes of assorted cables for devices we probably no longer have, but DH insists on keeping 'just in case'
under her coffee table is a small tray with random shit in
theres various boxes in the conservatory/playroom with random macdonads toys etc in
the kitchen a large wicker basket/tray thing in with sections that is sometime sorganised into pens/ tape/ menus etc but more often than not descends into a mountain of crap
We do have a large under stairs cupboard which houses cleaning stuff and tools so lots of things like tea lights etc go in there.

I also have a blue ikea bag of stuff that i carry around when cleaning, i put stuff from each room in there that doesnt belong and then put it away when i am in the correct room. simple in thoery but what happens is that its never completely empty and is full of crap that doesnt really have a place.

I have several. The main one has various strips of painkillers, tubes of hand cream, batteries, business cards, earphones, notebook, pens, nail clippers, plasters, dog poo bags, roll on deodorant.

When you outgrow your drawer then your cupboard of crap you need a Glory Hole, which is a whole room full of crap.
