I just find it so wanky - if I'm going out to spend money on a drink and several pieces of cake then I'm going out to relax. If I want to be on my phone then I will be.

I can't see them being banned because woodburning is carbon-neutral. If you let wood rot though, it emits methane which is much worse.

True - I guess pan-fried also implies much less fat (if any) than shallow or deep frying - that is what I assume, when I read this on a menu.
