What things do you see and think are just pretentious?

For me it's cafés with "no WiFi here, talk to each other!" signs.

A) I'll probably go elsewhere thanks

B) My best friend likes to sit on his phone anyway because they don't realise mobile data exists.

I just find it so wanky - if I'm going out to spend money on a drink and several pieces of cake then I'm going out to relax. If I want to be on my phone then I will be.

On the decaf tea/coffee thing I find it a bit pretentious when people don't even have caff in the house as 'I won't sleep for four days if I drink caffeinated tea' with a tinkly laugh. Well, I literally haven't slept properly for four years and my cuppas are what keep me bloody going so at least warn me! Nearly fell asleep at a friend's house after 3 cups before she explained why that might be.

That's not pretentious though. They just don't drink caffeinated drinks.

At the moment I alternate scents between SMN Rosewater and Byredo La Tulipe.

Yes! I've tried Byredo before, I think Rose Noir? I love the smell of rosewater too! My toner is rosewater. I also make it at home. Currently, I'm all about my vintage Bal a Versailles and Guerlains Rose Nacree du Desert.

I just realized we both sound very pretentious, right now don't we? I guess I just have to accept that I most likely am. Oh well!

Second home owners. Esp if their 2nd home is in Devon, Cornwall, Dorset. Ffs get a hotel if u want to spend some time hear. Put into the local economy. Dont take away properties from local people who now cant afford to buy in their home town because you like to visit once or twice a year. Pretentious wankers!
