Need some inspiration on weekday dinners so I can make a list 😊
What are you/your family having tonight?

I've made a shepherds pie with veg and Yorkshire's 😋 can't wait to tuck in.

Roasted mediterranean veg (well peppers, cherry tomatoes, courgette, red onion, garlic) with cous cous, fried halloumi, some shop made falafels, roasted tenderstem broccoli on the side.

ENormaSnob · 30/01/2019 18:15

Beef casserole. Inc celery, carrots, mushrooms and onion. Thickened. Eating with tiger brwad and real butter as couldn't be arsed with mash.

EastMidsGPs · 30/01/2019 18:18

Lamb Hotpot with cabbage and leeks (as DH pleaded please no more Brussels 😃)
Plus some vegetable based baton thingys, originally from Tesco but discovered unloved and forgotten languishing in the freezer.

Tomorrow it is 'brown stuff' again from the depths of the freezer, I hope when it thaws it is savoury so we can have it with rice. If it is cinnamon apple pie filling it could be an interesting meal.

It's Wednesday. I'm very impressed with the people doing what I'd call dinner party food!

onlyhereforthefood · 30/01/2019 18:38

Chicken chow mein courtesy of Sainsburys and the microwave. It's been a long day.

willowmelangell · 30/01/2019 18:51

Chicken breasts dusted with cornflour, wholemeal flour, salt, paprika and a tsp of dried oregano. Sweet potato fries in sunflower oil, salt and paprika. Sweetcorn and petit pois.

PurplePepperEater · 30/01/2019 18:56

Last night we had chilli with rice and all the bits, tonight we’re having leftover chilli in wraps with all the bits and sweet potato fries

mamaduckbone · 30/01/2019 18:57

Tortellini with bacon, broccoli and pesto. Quick easy tea before cubs, but one of the dcs faves.

Hellohah · 30/01/2019 20:25

@Abigbracelet, sorry just seen this.
It sounds so much posher than it is.
I just fry some garlic, add philadephia, a bit of water, cooked chicken and some peas ... cook peas in the sauce and when done stir in some tagliatele.
It's quick and it easy

Foonababoonalagoona · 30/01/2019 20:33

I love planning my weeks meals, often get 5 yo DS involved as he's beginning to become a fussy bugger!

So far this week we've had homemade chicken escalopes with Parmesan in the breadcrumbs (yum) with macaroni cheese l, peas and corn.
Homemade fish and chips. I'm trying to get the kids to try different types of fish so bought a pack of fish pie mix - little nuggets of different fish, tossed in seasoned flour and fried.
Tonight it was veggie spag bol and tomorrow we're having prawn curry!

Millie2013 · 30/01/2019 21:02

I’ve got into the Joe Wicks Veggie lean in 15 book. I’d got really bored of cooking for myself (OH works away), but there are so many lovely recipes in there

(Tonight I had pear and Stilton Patchwork pate with celery and rosemary crackers)

AckYourHole · 30/01/2019 21:08

Well I tried BBC good food slow cooker chicken curry recipe today. Spent the day in work thinking about how laaavely it was going to be, all smug and pleased with myself. It was sooo disappointing! RagingSad

flingingmelon · 30/01/2019 22:04

The fish man came so I did halibut with roast Jerusalem artichokes and cucumber in white wine.

DH is out tomorrow so it'll be tuna and sweet corn pasta

Or leg of haddock obvs Grin

deste · 30/01/2019 22:14

Just had an Aubergine curry using a free Hello Fresh box.this was vegetarian and was absolutely delicious. DD gave me a code so it was free. Still have another two to try, can’t wait.

Calvinsmam · 30/01/2019 22:17

I’ve had a ‘can’t be arsed’ tea and had a half baked baguette hummus and jalapeño sandwich with half a carton of tomato soup. Then I had four booja booja chocolates and an alpro yogurt.

pourmeanotherglass · 30/01/2019 22:21

I bunged a tray of roast veg I the oven - parsnip, carrot, sweet potato, onion - then grilled some pork chops for the carnivores and did Linda McCartney sausage rolls for the vegetarians.

gingercat02 · 30/01/2019 22:27

We had Chicken Stew with rice and broccoli

HerRoyalNotness · 30/01/2019 22:32

Clam chowda’ Home made.

We had clams left over from clam spaghetti the other day. DH doesn’t eat it so he’ll have leftover lentil Bolognese

Xiaoxiong · 30/01/2019 22:35

We also had chicken stew, with Puy lentils and fennel and suet dumplings on top that had grated carrot and rosemary in them. They didn't puff up though, I suspect my self raising flour is getting on a bit!!

Mitsouko67 · 30/01/2019 22:40

Chicken Fajitas with vegetables and chick peas minus chicken for our vegetarian.

One of the few dishes everyone likes. My lot are very fussy.

InvisableMe · 30/01/2019 22:44

Cod curry made in tinned tomatoes and egg fried rice with peas - same for lunch tomorrow ;)

E20mom · 30/01/2019 22:46

Shreddies

thatsmyspace · 30/01/2019 22:59

@Mitsouko67 funnily enough thats the only meal we all eat. We're a family of 7 and I end up having to make 2 different dinners every night 🙈 even a roast is not liked by all in this household 😱 so fussy

Swore I would never cook two dinners but now that I have a vegetarian exam student I feel I need to!!
