We’re adopting this gorgeous one.

We have decided to change her name.

I love 70s human names it appears-
She’s a very funny dog and has a wonderful personality not dissimilar to the mum from “Gavin & Stacey” hence the Pam

Family aren’t too keen on my suggestion of Pam and Barbara.

I know they’re perfectly lovely names but

Tilly
Molly
Milly
Lola
Maggie
Maisie
Bella
Rosie

Is what every other dog is called here and if you shout it you get 4 dogs coming back - cutesie names are out too.

Kids have helpfully suggested Dave and Barry 😂

Oh MN wise folk- hit me with suggestions please Smile

Pamela and Barbara are a bit 'Abigail's Party' Grin

HumptyDoo · 30/01/2019 11:21

How about Babs?

Cardiffclare88 · 30/01/2019 11:23

Definitely a Daphne or Chantal.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 30/01/2019 11:23

She is def a 'Shirley'.

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 30/01/2019 11:23

Mil is Pamela and bloody awful.
How about Margo?

Blackbutler86 · 30/01/2019 11:23

I love it and think it suits her! One of my dogs is called Roy (in pic) and whenever people hear his name they think it's funny and I've had people say they love it. Only negativity I had was from family members when I first got him but they are used to it now. Congratulations on your beautiful new girl and it's always good to be a bit different.

She's a phoebe! Definitely.

Grumpbum123 · 30/01/2019 11:24

I love Pam and Babs

Thistles24 · 30/01/2019 11:25

Oh she’s a Pamela!! She’s beautiful! We have a Penelope, though everyone except me just calls her Penny.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 30/01/2019 11:26

I’d choose a name that sounds close-ish to her old name, to help her learn it and settle in.

Isadora2007 · 30/01/2019 11:27

What is her current name? I’d choose something similar sounding. Poor thing having her name changed.

QueenCheese · 30/01/2019 11:28

I also suggested Babs which was lukewarm Grin

Phoebe is a beautiful name but too cute I think

Shirley
Margo

Are in the list LOVE them

Isadora- we’ve always rescued and within 2 weeks the dogs have happily adjusted- no “poor dog” here I don’t think Wink

She’d have to be Pamla.

PiggyPlumPie · 30/01/2019 11:30

I like Barbara!

Oliversmumsarmy · 30/01/2019 11:38

She looks like a Patricia to me

brownmare · 30/01/2019 11:51

She reminds me of Tina Turner; or Diana Ross or Kate Bush. Confused

BluthsFrozenBananas · 30/01/2019 11:55

Aww, keep her name as Pamela. My grandma was called Pamela so that's the first thing the name reminds me of, DD even has it as a middle name. My grandma was affectionately known as Pammie so you could call her that.

QueenCheese · 30/01/2019 12:18

Pammie Grin

Pamela is an excellent name for you dog and she absolutely suits it. There are so many ways to shorten it affectionately.

Imnotswallowingthat · 30/01/2019 12:24

She looks like a Betty to me. Or maybe Hilda.
