We’re adopting this gorgeous one.

We have decided to change her name.

I love 70s human names it appears-
She’s a very funny dog and has a wonderful personality not dissimilar to the mum from “Gavin & Stacey” hence the Pam

Family aren’t too keen on my suggestion of Pam and Barbara.

I know they’re perfectly lovely names but

Tilly
Molly
Milly
Lola
Maggie
Maisie
Bella
Rosie

Is what every other dog is called here and if you shout it you get 4 dogs coming back - cutesie names are out too.

Kids have helpfully suggested Dave and Barry 😂

Oh MN wise folk- hit me with suggestions please Smile

Sharon or Tracey.

trulybadlydeeply · 30/01/2019 16:21

Leopard skin and sparkly earrings?? Perhaps you could call her Kat (Slater)?

A dog called Kat would be fun, and she can be Kathleen when she's naughty Grin

Glam Pam. Love it!

YY to Kathleen (Kat) As in Kat Slater or Moon rather.Grin

PazRaz10 · 30/01/2019 16:28

I immediately thought Barbara or Wendy. xx

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 30/01/2019 16:28

Other glam and or dated names that might suit her.
Amanda. Sarah. Joanna. Stacey. Lindsey. Melanie. Rachel. Natalie
Clare. Tammy. Lisa. Linda. Claudia
Courtey. Caitlin. Bethany. Chloe. Tina. Denise. Alexandra. Sian.

PazRaz10 · 30/01/2019 16:29

And also love a previous suggestion of Margot!

Sausagefingers9 · 30/01/2019 16:30

I love Pamela!
How about Debbie? Deborah when she has been bad.

JohnWolfenstein · 30/01/2019 16:31

I think she looks like a Geraldine 🤔

Nifflerbowtruckle · 30/01/2019 16:34

My dog is called Zia but I think you should call her Vera Grin

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 30/01/2019 16:35

My dm is Geraldine!! Fill ya boots!!
Though your ddog looks much nicer natured than her tbh!!

GinaCarbonara · 30/01/2019 16:37

When I saw the picture I just heard someone say 'Janine' Grin

Thumbcat · 30/01/2019 16:38

I think she's more of a Brenda.

iklboo · 30/01/2019 16:46

She's a Margo

Lycanthropology · 30/01/2019 16:49

Amanda. Definitely Amanda. Literally everyone where I grew up was called Amanda in the 70s.

But Pamela or Barbara or also excellent.

Rafabella · 30/01/2019 16:51

She looks like a Margo or Maggie to me! Also, for recall, dogs respond better to 2 -syllable names and not 3+. As an earlier poster commented, pick something with a similar sound. Don't confuse her. She's beautiful though. Lots of joy ahead!

Jess74 · 30/01/2019 19:30

Julie. It has to be Julie. Or Julia.

megletthesecond · 30/01/2019 19:32

Pam 👍.

SnotWipeRepeat · 30/01/2019 19:36

Tracey. Definitely. 'Time for walkies Trace!'

I do like Pamela but those I know with that name were actually 80s babies more than 70s.

Alison, Susan and Sharon are all quote good.

Notadogslife · 30/01/2019 19:41

Beryl?

Love Pamela or Barbara though Grin

wizzler · 30/01/2019 19:41

Gwendoline

TheGirlWhoLived · 30/01/2019 19:43

Patty! Or Denice

Scandaloso · 30/01/2019 19:46

Pamela is perfect for her! My friend has two dogs, Jan and Kay, always makes me giggle. 1980s parents-' names on dogs are the best.

parrotonmyshoulder · 30/01/2019 20:00

Gloria
Deborah

But Pamela and Shirley are great too.
