I have no idea but a lot more than 6.

Bumblebee39 · 29/01/2019 23:51

Do you mean in the last week?
Because even in the last week I've been to more than 6

Probably over a hundred, in the UK and abroad

lottiegarbanzo · 29/01/2019 23:52

A lot. Why?

tubspreciousthings · 29/01/2019 23:52

Is there a list we can pick from? Do you have to get off the train for a specific period of time for it to count??

Chesneyhawkes1 · 29/01/2019 23:53

If we don't have to get off the train for it to count I've been to hundreds 😄

Riotingbananas · 29/01/2019 23:53

I have also been 6, and 7, and 8 for that matter. Now I'm quite a bit older than that though.

Fluffyears · 29/01/2019 23:54

I have been to hundreds why?

heatherblue · 29/01/2019 23:56

Seriously?
Kings Cross
St Pancras
Marylebone
Waterloo
Fenchurch St
Sheffield
Nottingham
Derby
Oxford
Paris Gare du Nord
New York Grand Central ... etc ... etc

Seriously?

Cagliostro · 29/01/2019 23:57

A heck of a lot more than six. We don’t drive :o

I’m assuming you only need to get off the train there and stand on the platform for it to count?

BoswellsBollocks · 30/01/2019 00:00

Let me think...

York
Chester
Crewe
Telford
Shrewsbury
Manchester Piccadilly
Liverpool Lime St
Liverpool James St
Birmingham New St
Birmingham International
Wolverhampton
Coventry
Weston super Mare
Stoke
Church Stretton

Been on the West Somerset and Severn Valley steam lines too if they count.

My DS is a rail enthusiast so has been to loads with plans to go to loads more.

nervousbreakdown · 30/01/2019 00:01

Hundreds - have travelled by train from Thurso to Inverness (far north line) , Inverness to Aberdeen, Aberdeen to Glasgow and Edinburgh , Glasgow subway , Glasgow to Gourock line , Glasgow to Balloch line , a lot of other trains in and around Glasgow .... plus a few times Inverness to Aviemore .

Then also been on London Underground , Aberdeen to Taunton (that was horrendous), Birmingham metro, Newcastle metro , Aberdeen to Newcastle/Durham .

And probably more besides .

My dad was a trainspotter and it’s oddly rubbed off on me a little bit . I do strangely enjoy collecting weird or obscure stations . The far north line is fantastic for that ... lots of stations in the middle of vast landscapes of nothing .

I’m aware how weird that sounds - I don’t wonder around with an anorak and a notebook or anything , I just find train travel a bit ... romantic in some way?

Sarahandduck18 · 30/01/2019 00:01

Including underground?

Off the top of my head 40.

AornisHades · 30/01/2019 00:02

I've been to at least twice that on continents I don't live in.

Unescorted · 30/01/2019 00:04

I have managed 6 (get off and change/ wait) at 6 stations today. The trains stopped at many more.

slippermaiden · 30/01/2019 00:06

Hundreds! Would like to count them actually... weird thread.

HeronLanyon · 30/01/2019 00:10

Many hundreds - use trains a lot here in uk and in other countries too. Never used a train in any African country I think, lots in India and through Europe. If we include underground’s and subways I wouldn’t know how to count them all. I may be a little older than you though. Grin

Grumpasaurus · 30/01/2019 00:11

There is absolutely no way I could count them all! Spent two years backpacking in Europe and travel by train regularly.

In the last week?

St. John's (London)
Lewisham
Greenwich
Deptford Bridge
Charing Cross
London Bridge
Ladywell
Rainham
Chatham
Catford
Bromley South
Chislehurst
Tonbridge

There was a wonderful programme on BBC a while ago about trains ... poetry I think spoken by those travelling on the train from somewhere south to either Edinburgh or Glasgow . Wish I could remember what it was called now !

Graphista · 30/01/2019 00:33

Wow! As an army brat definitely over 100 possibly more than 200
